I don't know how much support or help I'll be, but I'll give it a whack. I actually thought I did this already, but as with many other things it got laid aside and forgotten about, sorry. Alain

Done a bit more today, i dont know why but i looked underneath the sump this morning and guess what no threaded holes so something else to swap over, glad i had a gaskit, next was the exhaust, it had a smaller pipe bolted to the block and of course they wouldn't undo then out with my big tap and a new piece of pipe. Might get it bolted in the tractor tomorrow

Great weather yesterday meant bendy received his final decals and an airing in the sun. Finally fitted a throttle and made the linkages work.

Yep, get that visit organized Mark

Not much to report, the left side foot plate thingy is taking shape. As you can see it needed quite a bit of extra metal to get it to the right shape.

And a slight change of plan. The frame I made to be welded under the fender pan is now being welded to the chassis.

And the latest Why Not video for ya all..

When i was up at Ian's helping him move, he had a spare engine sat in his shed so a deal was struck and I brought it home.
Its been sat on my garage floor ever since so today I thought it was time i did something with it.
Its a 12 hp pull start, so just swop a few bits over, ha ha . You'll notice I swapped the pulley and pto clutch first to see if the crank was the same

I think the biggest problem was the weather, if it had been raining Pam would have stayed indoors

A bit of an update for you chaps, as you know he steering is finished, so here's a photo for you.
The connecting arm has been moved to behind the hubs which makes the front end look neater and a lot less danger of a tree or something bending it
Yes you are seeing right, that is a fake leaf spring on the front.. I will make one out of thicker metal strips just for the Hot Rod look. The fake spring mounts will also add strength to the outer edges of the axle where the big rose joints bolt onto..
Not sure if the front hitch will be staying or going, it adds to the Wheel Horse look and could be handy for fitting weights onto to keep the front end down should needs be

Those with sharp eyes may of noticed a two extra somethings in the above photo, this photo might help a bit more..

The clue is, it's the thing just in front of the rear wheel..

Yep, WN now has an exhaust system. Here's the right side mount .

The left side needed a step to clear the steering rod thingy.. The step will be made to look a lot neater as it will be on show..

Two foot plate thingys chopped and welded together to make a wide one. The strange cut out needs to be filled, but I might need that hole for the pedals so it can stay for now.

And the view of WN which always makes me grin like a Cheshire cat on happy pills

Hi Martin, you won't go far wrong with the C series, good robust tractor. Once you got one and have the model number you can download a manual from the Toro site, spares are easy to get new and secondhand and Kohler engines are the best (in my opinion). Silencer,s are pretty expensive and batterys run at about £50, the most thing they suffer from is badly maintained by their owners. The tyres are always cracked and perished but last for ages, just look at the trackrods as they are always worn and they suffer from water in the transmission, just drain and refill with the correct oil, just give it a good service and grease up and clean the deck when you finish mowing, anything else give us a shout, and good luck with it. Chris
