Cub Cadet 613 #30 Posted January 10, 2016 A little bit more done today, started dismantling the engine and starter generator. First I removed the pto and pulley. Nice repairs by the way We had a customer living about quarter of a mile from the sea who parked his MTD ride-on in an open sided shed , always pointing in the same direction. The side exposed to the sea spray completely rusted away while the other side was more or less untouched . Nice repairs by the way Yes it is a water trap, water had got in between the spot welds and the rust had expanded, heres a pic of the side we haven't fixed yet. Cub Cadet 613 #35 Posted January 23, 2016 Been busy today cleaning up the chassis and painting, here's some pictures. I'm pleased with the result after a coat of etch primer, it feels like I'm getting somewhere now To help fill the rust pits I'm brushing on red oxide primer. Cub Cadet 613 #49 Posted February 8, 2016 A little bit more has been done over the past few weeks , mostly cleaning up various parts and painting, here are some photos. The wheels and brake/ clutch pedal after sandblasting. After a coat of etch primer A previous owner of the tractor had stripped all of the threads off of the light switch and so the nut had to be cut off. After cutting the nut off I discovered this.
