My Solo Multimot collection

Recommended Posts

Just picked up a water pump to add to my collection of Solo Multimot accessories. From the 80's so are they classed as

" My old Machines "?. You bought an engine then buy various accessories depending what you wanted. I now have 4

engines, a water pump, a chainsaw, hedge cutter and 3 brand new boxed hover mowers. I am always on the lookout for

more. Would these look out of place at a vintage show ? I like them but they are perhaps too modern to show.

The telephone number on the sticker is 404, how long is it since 3 digit numbers were used :)

WoW, that's a rather nice collection.. Not something you see every day or at all.. More than worthy of being classed as an old machine.. Thanks for posting

they keep good records, machines we got 10years ago are still on record with them. you never know they might have yours on record still......

hi sten there number is 01227 738199/208550 :)

Thanks vegikev, I've emailed them, I've got a bit of a phobia about phones, I hate using them :( , I don't know why.

I emailed Stuart Dawes yesterday and got the following reply back today, which I thought was very good of them and with a bonus of a parts list for the hedge cutter :)

"We moved premises 14 years ago and I’m sorry to say that we destroyed our older written records.  We did sell a number of these machines to the local Electricity Board but am unable to find any further information.  I don’t know if it would be on any use but I did manage to locate just one parts list which I have attached.

Regards.

Lincoln"

Picked up a few more accessories for my Multimot collection this morning. I already have the chainsaw and hedgecutter but very pleased to find a strimmer. Bought from the original owner who bought them new in 1985.

Another Solo Multimot delivered today, this is different to all my other power units, it has a primer bulb where the petrol filler cap is on the others and the fuel tank is a completely different design.
