A good day for painting
paul and 2 others reacted to meadowfield for a post in a topic
I'm not often home, and when I am its either raining or I'm out with the family. Well today was a painting day.... We've got 4/5 projects on the go and a lot of bits in need of priming and painting. So project bendy got a little attention first. Firstly the rear fender that's had a lot of patching And then painting some other bits Missus just arrived home and not impressed I've hijacked the washing line -

Look what i found in the garden
nigel reacted to the showman for a post in a topic
Pam was out doing a bit of gardening today and I went over to make sure she didn't get eaten by a triffid (wishful thinking ) and look what I found I remember the spade thingy, we use to see if anyone could use it when we came in from the pub, I always fell over with it -
1 pointhi all, whats your views on a section where each month it themes a manufacturer where we can post and share anything to do with that manufacturer. starting with the letter A the working through to Z. this would then build over 2 years as a new topic for each letter within its own section. your thoughts would be most welcome

1 pointI've no idea what model this is, I bought it at least ten years ago. Powered by a small techy engine which has never let me down.. I know it will always start each time on one or two pulls of the cord. As for the flames.. I got bored one day The chrome exhaust didn't stay long as it made the whole mower vibrate like mad, but the induction system is still on it

So we need a new section heading called the A to Z of my old machine... With a sub section A and we post each on each then? Anzani, atco, etc? -

New section with arrows pointing to it and flashing lights !! This must be the fastest viewer number achieving posting on here, it only went on here this morning and now has over 200 views !! -
1 pointNorm, I agree & did consider that it would be difficult to invite potential members from other sites as It would be deemed to be poaching, something I wouldn't particularly want to do . I guess the best way to incorporate a particular machine into the A to Z list would be to research that particular machine within another forum and then do a link to that machine so that the other forum gets the credit but it also gets MoM known to others Then hopefully potential members will come along under their own steam. Otherwise with the volume of current members of MoM I don't think we have enough members yet to compile an A to Z of Machines or we just go for it & just see where it takes us ????

1 pointThe dies shown in post 10 are from the a ridgid (or similar) thread cutting machine. They fit into a die head in numerical order as has been suggested and can normally be adjusted for depth of cut and released by rotating one half of the die holder against the fixed half. http://www.amazon.com/Diehead-RIDGID-97065-Automatic-Oiler/dp/B0015RWYPQ

1 pointIt amazes me how these combines work , I was told that they harvest crops via satellite information . I did some work for a company that used to sell Massey ferguson combines in Bedfordshire.& I got to sit in the cab , it felt like you were driving a space ship. Great fun

1 pointI like the idea chaps , A to Z of machines. Could be really exciting & will give everyone a chance to show their collection or even go looking on the web for content
-
1 pointI like your thinking Kev, that could work very well. Maybe rather than just one manufacturer each month beginning with each letter, any manufacturer beginning with that letter would be better.. More posts each month and a mixture of machines.. What do you think guy's and Girls?

1 pointOnly a 1600 polo engine. Am toying with dropping in a 1.9tdi out of a golf. The white one has allready got the normally asperated 1.9 diesel. Thanks paul, only involved a 660 mile round trip to north of Dumfries to get it, but I'd never seen one so tidy. Only just over 300 left on the road now.
