This is my latest project what I have gained from a old bloke I know. I spent a couple of nights the past couple of weeks getting it running for him then he said he was selling it so I got it for a really good price. I'm going too take the trip mechanism off and make it hydraulic tipping and restore it

Amongst many of my other projects I've been working with Sam and Nathan we have been looking at fitting hydraulics to the C121 , trying to think what will have a vee belt pulley on etc and knowing we're not going to need vasts amounts of pressure for what we're needing ( eventually it's going to be used for a three point hitch ) etc , so I've sourced a power steering pump off an old range rover 3.5 v8 engine . Which should be more than upto the job hopefully anyway , I've also gonna use if it has enough capacity a land rover pas resovoir, in order to mount the pas pump we had to dispense with the original exhaust to allow for room for the pump , here is what we have done so far !

    Wheel horse C161

Hi all me and Wheel horse Sam went and collected this today it's a nice looking machine it's wanting a few jobs doing to it and the paint work could do with sorting the first thing we noticed on getting it back that it wouldn't run just right , so we gave it a bit of work to do towing the 6 ft roller and it still wasn't happy so I decided to strip the carburettor and was I in for a shock the float bowl had been siliconed up etc so whe I stripped it down the in sides was full of silicone etc any way I cleaned it out put a new seal in and put it back on and it sounds a different machine!

Will do Andrew I haven't had an engine give me quite so many trials in a very long time! When an engine is sold to you and said only to be removed due to a broken starter motor and thats been replaced now, you wouldn't expect so many settings to be completely out of adjustment, i was daft really to disguard things thinking it can't be that as it apparently ran before. Lesson learned, always check anyway. I only checked most of them because im a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to the running of an engine

Very nice, I look forward to this. I have a 1501 kubota tractor and it's brilliant, it's only 15hp but pulls really well and the hydraulics are strong. Good luck with it. Tom

Where I work there are loads of watercress beds. They have always had kubotas and I dont think I have ever seen any break down yet. There is also quite a few dealers for them around this area. (Hampshire)

I have always rated the Kubota garden tractor as the best on the market. I have bought several new ones over the years when I worked for the National Trust. Always reliable and does what it's supposed to do. I am trying to persuade one of my customers to buy a B series Kubota as the old Iseki one is beginning to play up.

My slightly warped look at Tractorfest

Evening all, what a busy, hectic and fantastic weekend Tractorfest has been.. It has left me feeling shattered but I can't wait for next years show Anyway, my brain has been awake enough today to grab a few stills from my video footage for you all, I might of got a little carried away So let's start with Kev and his finger chasing a water leak on the Weeks.. One of those "Gulp" moments as I do my first ever talk over a PA system to the crowds! While the Showman ran off and hid from the microphone Steve made a valiant start on turning the soil in the working area with the Jobber.. But due to the show only being on for 2 days the reinforcements were called in Nigel and Noddy ploughing. This was Nigel's first time ploughing, by the end of the weekend he had it down to a fine art. Chris on his Trachorse doing a bit of leveling.. But even though he tried he didn't manage to bury the cameraman A Colbey doing it's soil turning stuff. I can't remember this chaps name (sorry of your reading this ), but he is a top chap, always willing to help and give advice about ploughing etc And this photo just because I like it.. Stay tuned as there is loads more to come.... I did say I got a little carried away grabbing screen shots

My slightly warped look at Tractorfest

Back in the arena on Sunday, and here's Ethan and machine not being towed Only kidding mate, I know the machines fought you a bit over the weekend.. Why does this one remind me of the alien out of er... Aliens? The Weeks without the water leak..... I think it was scared of fingers The sound of this engine was just fantastic.. You could feel the rumbles through the ground. Lot's of chattering going on in the arena.. The Wheel Horse spinning display team entertain the crowds while trying not to hit each other It's the Wacky Racers
