    Cub Cadet 1772 Renovation

Hi everyone, I’m new to My Old Machine having recently acquired a Cub Cadet 1772 barn find. Please see the attached photos. The Cub was imported to the UK from the USA in the 90s and has remained unused for more than 10 years. Surprisingly, after I put a battery on it, cleaned the fuel system/added fresh diesel and check the oil/coolant it started first time! a testimony to the quality of build. I plan to complete a full nut and bolt restoration to bring it back to factory release condition, with additional items if possible. I have loads of questions that other members may be able to help me with if able. It has a rear PTO running at 2000ish RPM, so can I run any implements, if so what do I need (ie clutch) and what can I attach? I'd like to know if its possible to fit - a 3 point hitch? if so what do I need? a front loader, if so what do I need? a backhoe, if so what do I need? I’ve carried-out an initial inspection and need the following items - Bonnet plastic badge (Cud Cadet) Replacement seat (tin looks good) A few of the handle covers are missing so will need replacements Would the importation of second hand or used parts be subject to taxes? Sorry for all the questions but hopefully someone you can point me in the right direction. Kind regards Ian

    An interesting day...

Arrived at work this morning and was greeted by one of our software managers asking for some advice... I goes up to our server room and it stinks of rotten eggs, my first thought was batteries. So I ran to my PC to check my suspicions. Goes back upstairs and evacuates the whole floor. We go through the motions of health and safety before calling the fire brigade.... 4 units turn up, two ambulances and the dibble! Resulting in this And this Turns out that a power supply failed causing our backup batteries to cook, that means they released hydrogen sulphide gas. Which is really explosive and extremely toxic. So a few of us that spent time in the room were already suffering from sore eyes and bad throats. Inevitably the ambulances were called for a few of us! Good news is we are all ok

    Mystery package!

Hi all, I have been waiting about two weeks for this package to arrive and today it finally arrived and I was so pleased! The package: What could it be?! Da daa! A nice little deck for my suburban, I realise it's actually an RJ deck but it came up at a good price and I couldn't turn it down so I bit the bullet. It will fit my suburban so at least I can use it, maybe I'll come across an RJ to put it on! I plan to fabricate a new shell for it, well I can try at least. Thanks for looking, Tom

This would be a good base for a forklift project, to make something like a mini Moffett Mounty
