To follow up my plough conversion, here's the lift assembly needed. Firstly the beefy bar to run from the deck lift arm. Then two bushes for the rocker shaft Then a piece of 18mm bar for the shaft with the ends threaded to retain it. It all fits nicely with the fuel tank in place. And the view from above with the link bar in place. And with the plough fitted.

    Barford plough adaptation

My son bought a plough cheap at a show, finally got round to modifying it to clevis mount. Firstly making the mount from a few chunky bits of metal from Doug And then making the handle

Seems someone is using my pictures and videos to sell an AWS mower that can be converted! The cheek of some folks - but made me smile.... http://greenville.craigslist.org/grd/4813036723.html

    Winter Blues Gas Up

Went to a stationery engine gas-up local to me today, apart from the small engines there were a couple of big one's set up and running in the barn. In the corner was a Kinkade garden tractor that took my eye never seen one before, had two steel wheels on the front with one having a Villiers engine inside it, it had a tool frame with all the kit, plough. tines, ridger ect. there was even a couple of seeders hanging from the roof.

Iron Horse - Looking for new home.

Hi - I have just come across this site, whilst browsing the internet and hope that someone might be able to help me. My Dad has an old mechanical plough that he picked up from somewhere many years ago. He always intended to restore it but has never found the time. It's a shame for it not to be restored and I have tried to find a way of advertising it to a likely audience, without success. So would be very grateful if anyone knows of a publication or website that would bring this to the right peoples attention. Thanks

    Saxon Trailer Rebuild

Well one of my projects 2015 is to rebuild a Saxon tipper trailer which has been sat in the workshop for a few years. Its the larger model 2m x 1m body. I know some of you have these also When I brought it back, most of it was on the floor of my ifor as it was so rotton it was just falling to bits Any how, I put the angle grinder to it yesterday & removed whats left of the frame ready for the chassis to be blasted soon. This piece seems solid & I need to chop the end of the draw bar off & renew as its been sat in the mud for a year or 10 The remains of the frame are now in the bin, I am going to re use the pins on the new frame I have the sides which also need replacing & the floor as there was not a sign of it No pics as yet as I was keen to get on Keep you posted

    Barford plough adaptation

Looking really good mark, you have done an excellent job. Definitely post up a thread regarding the rocker shaft as I have been thinking about making one too and it would be interesting to see how you did yours. Tom

    My little shed

Hi all, Had a tidy up a re-arrangement in my little shed this morning, I mainly use this for my lathe and reconditioning carbs and stripping down engines as it's well lit and warm! I also have some shelves which I store any lathe tools and barford atom spares. I have my larger garage but my land rover which is currently in bits has taken up most of this!! Thanks for looking, Tom

    My little shed

I couldn't agree more, my dad uses his defender solely for work as he tows a lot of trailers and we had a Nissan Navara for a family car and longer journeys however it recently had a timing chain break. Tom It's not often this tidy!! Tom I think I remember seeing a picture of it somewhere Norm, very nice Tom Yours isn't that bad Ian :D Tom
