Bolens 613 husky pup and 2133

Hello there. Right then chaps I must confess I have bought the above two garden tractors and know absolutely nothing about them. The 613 needs a good service and going over and the 2133 needs a cutting deck and some one removed the levers/controls to operate the the cutting deck so I need to find some replacements for these to. Can anyone point me in the right direction to of where to get anything I need? Anywhere in uk at all? Cheers in advance Dan

    Comet Chainsaw

Attached are pictures of my restored Comet chainsaw. When I got this, the handle was missing. Wallfish was kind enough to loan me a handle which I used as a template to bend a new one. Also the prong that sticks down below the blade was broken off and missing. I was able to graft on a piece of aluminum and blend it to shape.

    Project "Why Not"

Thingy works for me Same to you Norm Thanks mate.. Practice is by far the best way to get better at welding.. I'm getting there Despite being busy with Why Not for the past couple of day's I've not a great deal to show for it.. Have a better photo of the steering column and the UJ's. A new more sporty steering wheel has been fitted.. Don't worry, the badge in the center will be going and replaced with something more in keeping What has been taking a lot of time was cleaning all the rust and old paint off the rear wheels so I could fit the new bigger tyres.. I think it's one of those jobs we all hate, but it's worth the effort I've no idea what this came from, Nigel had had it for many years.. But it does make a great gear shift lever.. Just got to work out how/where to mount it and figure out a linkage..

    Been Wheelhorse Picking Again

Pulled all the box apart this morning and its not good, just about all the bearings are shot and knowing the availability of them i think its a junker. Had a look through my stock and found another 3 speed that feels good apart from the attachment pin seized in, Ive had these before and the only way is to cut it off level with the box and drill it out, its to big to fit in the pillar drill so spent the rest of the day abuseing my hand held drill, it's 3/4 rod so the drill got pretty hot, anyway got it out. Here's a couple of photos

    Farmers Boy Minorette Rotavator?

Hello All, I don't visit this section of the forum as much as I do some of the others, but It appears now I can contribute, I now own a 'Pedestrian Operated Machine' This morning I went to Ardingly Collective Sale to have a look about, It's the first time I've ever been and I'm pleased I did. I saw Chris and Paul a few times throughout the day, I'm not too sure if they managed to get anything, there was a wheel horse commando 7 up for auction but I don't know if either of them two got it or not... I'm sure they will tell us soon enough! I managed to get my self another small project, Its only what I can assume to be a Farmers Boy Minorette I've done a little research and it seems to match the ones I have been finding, If anybody knows anything or has any information on these machines, it would be greatly appreciated if you could share it with me I only paid £21.80 £1.80 of that was buyers premium etc, so I was chuffed that I can now grow my collection get this restored and have it as a show piece, and maybe even work it from time to time... Its nice to have something different from ride on's all the time,

Clifford Mk1 Rotavator and sickle bar

Charlie whetted my appetite for a walk behind machine and I came across this in Plymouth. I haven't bought it but I am interested. Does anyone know anything about them? Is it complete? I know you can add more implements to this model. I will be interested to hear from anyone who got one. Thanks

Some old but 'new' to me tools.

Hello all, Today was the Sussex meet and greet, But sadly relying on my dad to taxi me everywhere as I haven't booked in for my test yet is proving to be a bit of a pain, I wanted to attend the meet and greet event as it would of been nice to see some friendly faces and some great pieces of machinery, and I heard they have a mean breakfast there too but hey I'm sure there will be another time! Anyway my dad was rather set minded when he told me he couldn't take me to the meet and greet as he wanted to go to the local car boot sale, (first of the season apparently that's something to get excited about) He did pop into the bring buy and sell and the hassocks garden center, which wasn't too bad also got a little bit there. I wasn't too Impressed to say the least, however these few purchases made it a good day,... This tap and die set with lots of pieces and the tool box was from the car boot sale for £5 for the lot, I may never use it but I couldn't turn it down The two pullers where 50p each from the bring buy and sale and the grease gun was only 50p as well. I was well chuffed

    Kohler M16S rebuild

Been a busy week, managed an hour though... Rebuilt the starter, though I think it's brand new anyway - so it just needed a blow through with the air line. Cleaned up the fuel pump, and rebuilt and cleaned the breather which was full of silicon!!! morons, a gasket costs a few quid and it was full of bathroom silicon!!!! Before I strip the cowl as it's got hammer rash, that's why it has a new starter... I took the liberty of making out a very vague serial number and printing a few new decals.
