    Ransom dozer/digger.

The digger has been put to work over Easter landscaping in my son's garden digging out large shrubs and trees, re planting and moving soil around, worked really well, managed to pull a track off right up against a hedge but I was able to walk it out on the bucket. It was my own fault the track was a bit slack and I was sitting across a slope pushing soil. The wide tracks are very good on soft ground and hardly leave a mark on the grass. I even had my own service crew!

    Bolens G14

This is exactly how I got addicted to Bolens. We do have a big problem in the UK with the small number of Bolens tractors available and this forum does have a large number of guys that like other brands, especially the red brand. As such, can I suggest we keep this as a secret otherwise they will all try a Bolens, get the same addiction and we will all be chasing a very small pool of tractors. I would also hate to see the other brands of GT's being left under hedges unloved and rusting away. The pool of Bolens just got a little smaller as I have just agreed to buy another one more details to follow after I pick it up, which hopefully is Friday. Iain

That does tend to happen a lot when a GT lover encounters a Bolens for the first time.

Cheers guys! After some rather nice weather, it's all painted... And here's a looking finished shot, though it isn't - it'll be ready for Newby

    Bolens identification

Hi Simon, welcome to MOM. That is a great looking Bolens you have. Assuming the fender is made of fibreglass and it has a lever to move the belts from high to low range then I believe it is a 900. This is a picture of my 900 I am not an expert on identifying round hood Bolens so hopefully OldBuzzard or HeadExam will confirm or correct my identification. Iain

It didn't happen to me the first time, I guess I didn't inhale but it really took hold with the second, third, and fourth time.

Hello all, I just joined this forum, and please excuse my ignorance towards tractors and such. I am writing today, with a long shot of a query. I have the remnants of and old tractor on my 80+ acre property, and was hoping that someone here could give me a general idea of what this is. The only clear markings I can find on anything that is left, is on the rear axle, which is marked Timken. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
