He's arrived Norm, he said Saturday was the worst he flew all day into a headwind and landed in the same spot he took off from. He's been feed and watered and said with the high tail wind he should fly at 200mph and be back in your loft this afternoon -
3 pointsWe are very glad it's sorted Chris, I'm sure I even saw Nigel crack a smile and do a little dance when it ran properly

you would need some good rubber and weights - the kids now struggle to make it up that hill. I now know why I needed two 4x4 tractors in what way Norm? was you hoping I got washed away.... -

Sounding good boys... Will see what everyone's plans are nearer the time - might extend my holiday and the round up into the dales for a day. Plenty of land to practice ploughing you can try your chances gill climbing too if you like... -
1 pointNow that is not strictly true. What I did was fit the ram to where the chain was fitted. After the test I then extended the arm. Today I fitted it and another problem reared it's head. Because the arm is now longer, the fixed end of the cylinder needed to be further forward. The hose that comes out at right angle from the cylinder fouled the clutch pivot. OK, I'll turn the ram 90 degrees and re-route the pipe. Did that and now found the pipe fouled the side of the hood stand. So after much thinking and deliberating, I decided to cut a bit out of the hood stand. Not something I really wanted to do. That has been done and I was in the process of making a bracket for the cylinder when the electric went off. This is definitely one of those jobs that makes you think, "Why did I start this?"
