    Hydraulic Tipping Trailer

Well I found the light switch and with the aid of my stunt driver, Here is the finished Hydraulic tipping trailer. Really pleased with it. Link armes raise and lower when trailer tips and lowers but small price to pay.

    Mountfield 11hp.

Some years back, I acquired a non running Mountfield B&S 11hp Ride on. Deck was mainly rust and well beyond recovery, but it would be ok for the grandkids to ride round the green on. I got it running, Fitted an old car battery under the seat. Threw some paint at it and the result is below. That's number 3 grandson. Now pushing 14 and nearly as tall as me. Back to the Mountfield. It has been covered up in a corner outside for about two years. At the forthcoming HVC rally we have an auction, so I thought it time to get rid of it. Into the workshop and up on the lift. Not expecting it to start or the battery even turn the engine, I turned the key. The engine flew round. Not bad for a battery that must be ten years old at least. So in with some go go juice and try again. Nothing and no spark. Plus the throttle/choke cable had broken. OK! It can go as is. So I left it on the ramp to do other things. Just before I knocked off at 4-30, I gave the key a turn in passing. The thing BURST INTO LIFE. Really made me jump as it blew the well rotten silencer end off as it started. Got me thinking should I keep it. But common sense says no. So off to auction it will go next weekend.

    Mountfield 11hp.

I look after it free. Otherwise it would be overgrown. Plus only three properties round it and the bench on it is ours. Oh yes! I'm the Parish Councillor for our area.

Fuel seepage on my Bolens 800

Over the last couple of days I became aware of stale petrol smells in my garage. After checking my modern Lawnmowers and chainsaws, I narrowed it down to my Bolens 800. It was leaking from the carb so I pulled off the carb to drain the stale fuel. I have turned off the fuel tap at the petrol tank but not at the carb end. I also noticed that the float was broken which could explain why it was leaking. Anyhow I now need to put this together. I hope Brian (Bolens1000) from the States can help me out with a new float for the carb and carb kit. I will clean it all out with carb cleaner once I got all the necessary bits. I have put it all back together so I know where everything is. The fifth photo shows the broken float in a old washing up bowl. The last two photos shows the decals made by Mark.

    what to go for

had quite a pleasent afternoon mowing today, the clutch starter switch is playing up so i shorted the wires, then the engine started hunting, i think iv narrowed that down to the fuel cap breather being blocked apart from that the b111 has been great,....its going to be nice adding to the wheel horse collection
