You can never have enough sheds...

After moving all the Wheelhorse related signage out of the first shed (now the yellow and white shed) I thought I had better tidy it up and add some replacement bits and bobs... I thought the sign in the first photo quite appropriate

    C-125 Rebuild.

A bit more done this morning. Engine had been left for the oil to drain. Before it could be lifted off, petrol was drained and fuel line removed. Also fuel tank. Then foot plates and tin ware off the sides. Engine lifted off. The anti vibration plate was removed next and the engine left on the gantry and wheeled to one side. I'll see to the rest of the tractor before I tackle that. As usual the pin holding the steering wheel refused to budge. So the top half of the tower was removed along with wheel and instrument panel. Who's bright idea it was to rivet the control levers on I don't know. But he could do with a swift kick up the b******e. Not sure how far I want to go with the strip down yet. A good pressure wash is next, then I'll get it on the bench.

    A Splash of Autumn Colour

A very pleasant Autumn so far where I am. Not long before the leaves drop from my Acer Palmatum Bloodgood. Usually the last deciduous to lose it's leaves around here and the first to bud in spring. Even beats the Oak for leaf endurance. Greeted with this array of colour outside the kitchen window. This view is from an upper bedroom window -

Quiet afternoons pottering about today... Changed the Lawn Ranger and the Suburban round (they look better that way round) and moved some of the Wheelhorse goodies up from the original Wheelhorse shed (which is now the Yellow and White shed - Cub Cadet and Mowett Mustang)
