Cheers guys!
After some rather nice weather, it's all painted...
And here's a looking finished shot, though it isn't - it'll be ready for Newby
-
I'll do my best to see it out, and join in the Easter spirit
-
-
They didn't make it easy Chris, I always thought all 8 speed were 1-1/8 axle, until I pulled the hubs off a 312-8 tranny and they were 1" with a 4 pinion diff.
-
Hmm, works for me, Nigel and Ian... Try refreshing the page
-
I'd say they were perfect pics Chris
-
And the engine is now back in and running
With the obligatory video

Looking good, I've pics back home... The cable runs just under the exhaust outlet I think and I to a small clamp on the block before the inner connects to the rocker with the spring across to the governor arm.
-
Move over Nicholas Parsons....
Dammit... Just googled, he was from Grantham
-
Awesome work, lots of fun too!
Must be landy derived as you can never find a gear....
-
Here's the manual, well hopefully a close match...

You need to look up the parts manual for it, might just be a mule missing. It looks like it should fit though
-
Nice find, deffo wheel horse, a pre tach o matic one that bolts on behind the front foot rests...
-
That looks like a lot of work!
Look forward to the finished product
-
I have to say I'm a fan of the magnum setup, no points, magneto type setup. Like Briggs and Stratton. I doubt it can be added to the older k series though
-
-
Most of us are too old for that
-
I'll take some measurements at the weekend. Geometry wise it's a smaller version of my 12" mouldboard, it seems to scale right for the depth. Other then the lawn we haven't tried it yet....
-
He's contemplating it... Well looking up leather scraps bon eBay...
-
-
Son no.2 turned up with two of these today
Hand made and embossed with the wheel horse logo! He was bored last night apparently... Don't know where gets it from
-
I'm after two of the later beefier ones. I need to reverse them and turn them down. I've a pair of good condition early ones, there's just not enough meat on them for what need.
-
I know where to come for two hubs and a third gear cluster... Don't throw anything away!
I could especially do with two of the more modern hubs to modify for my next 4x4 creation.....
-
been a while since this thread was updated....
Ewan has been hard at work plating parts and using all new stainless fasteners.
With a lick of paint and a few stickers, here is the finished plough!
All ready for this years Wheel Horse roundup
