Hmm, my magnum 16 has a sticker saying 3000 is the max speed. I just assumed that was due to its size?

K341 and magnum 16 are usually set to 3000rpm governed speed. same size pulley on engine and pump will give you 3000rpm tops.

Well after quite a delay with the shipping company, I get a call asking where we live... followed by "oh Sh1t, I'll call you back...." I hopped on the quad thinking he was lost and I'll find him first. Quad was the wrong mode of transport and not man enough for the job... He got got stuck in the bottom of the village, and I had to pull him out. Anyway, he dropped a pallet off and there's only one way to move a pallet up here might leave it for Ewan to unpack when he's next home.... unless he really wants some more pics....

They will look like the picture if they are ok. If they are rounded over or snapped it will hopefully be obvious

they are called gearbox selector keys, you need to cross reference from the parts diagram. They all look the same, but I don't know if they are. You need to open it up though first to check it is those that have failed

Sounds like you need to check its connected through to the throttle linkage and the rocker for the choke is connected correctly. re: gearbox, I think the part I've circled here is possibly broken or the bit that operates it is. this is my sons gearbox as we rebuilt it, so we know exactly how it works... you might have to split it to take take a look, it's a messy job as it is filled with bentonite grease.

We will have to break it down into smaller bits. when you say wire, do you mean the throttle linkage? when it dies, will it start again? You need to check for spark or sufficient fuel. Will it drive in reverse, but not forward at all?

Deffo gear oil for the diff, then 10w/40 or atf for the hydro bit. I use 10w/40 in my sundstrand hydro. But peerless tended to use Mobil 424, which replaced dexron atf. You could put atf back or a reasonable engine oil in my opinion...
