I'm now definatley going to be there, look forward to putting a face to the name.
-
A contact in the trade has just dropped me a line saying he thinks he may have the correct air filter cover in his store.fingers crossed.
-
They do look good, I have recently been having some very good results with rattle cans of chrome effect paint on things like these.
-
I did hope to finally have this running over christmas,
However I have hit a snag in that the valve block won't
clear the return pipe so I need a special coupling that I
don't have so will now have to wait until the supplier goes
back in January.
-
Decal applied and top frame fitted.
-
I had a local firm make the decals for my other power packs , and was
very pleased with the end results. However after getting pi*%^d about
scince July with the ones for this machine I have resorted to making them
myself using off the shelf labels. Just waiting for the Panther animal sticker
to come in from the states and have got to get a fine needle to pierce the
couple of air bubbles.
-
Finaly managed to get this saw finished today. Had to resort to a later spec air filter cover
as I cant find an original type one anywhere at the moment. Started 3rd pull and after a
bit of minor adjustment runs quite well.
-
Due to unforeseen circumstances I'm regrettably going to have to part with my beloved little truck. Now only on 52k ( one of the reasons I'm selling it is lack of use). Before I let the vultures on ebay have a go I thought I'd give forum members first dibs. Will come with brand new mot, cambelt was changed only a few thousand ago and has lots of old mots to back up the almost unbelievable millage. 3 sets of alloys included along with the private number plate. I feel confident in saying this is one of the best examples left, and I'm 99% certain it's never had any paint work in its life.
-
Possibly, just recently picked up this mid 1960's Partner k12 disc cutter, for the collection.
-
After checking the forecast I got to the workshop just after 6am this morning to put the paint on the straightened top frame. There must be something in the nylon coating that causes a reaction with the top coat I using because even though I thought I'd removed it all I still got a slight lifting in places. Luckily most of it seems to be confined to where the decal will sit,so I should be able to do a localised touch up fairly easily.
Sorry if the photos come out upside down, due to having no internet at home till the news year( thanks a bunch EE) I've had to piggy back onto the works broadband using the iPad that allways seems to rotate pictures that I take.
-
thankyou, just got to sort out a decal for it now.
-
Finaly got round to spraying the top frame in chrome effect paint.
-
They were the right way up when I posted them, must be the iPad, for some reason I never seem to get on with uploading off it.
-
Here's its brother now it's finished, an upright rammer.
-
The plan is so long as my entry gets accepted to take a small display of classic light plant from the late 1950's to 1980's to tractor world in February.
-
And here it is now that the restoration is almost finished.
It had been semi restored a few years ago, but stored badly. I believe the engine is about 75 cc two stroke,Ive had the engine fully rebuilt by an ex Wacker employee that I know.
They were originally a JLO engine that Wacker purchased the rights to.
Still has its original wire rope recoil, can a bit lethal if it kicks back.
-
Here's my late 1950's wacker plate.
-
Can you recut them like we had done on our one forklift?
-
Nice to see the maestro van, used to be every where but like a lot of things they all seem to of disappeared. Such a shame that austin never rust proofed them or seemingly anything else that they made.
-
Bethany (aka Rat)my Labrador had the same thing done when she was 3. The vet said that it may not last that long, however she is not far off 10 now and is still running round like a puppy. It's only on the coldest days that she has a very slight limp 99% of the time you'd never know. Hope your dog gets better soon.
-
You say you've tried 4 spark plugs, but have you tried a different make? I only ask because I had a box of ten new NGk plugs a few years ago that at least 6 turned out to be faulty. Nearly drove me daft as they would spark ok in the atmosphere but started to do strange things under compression.
-
I'll take some more pictures when I get a bit further with it. They are basically used for compacting down back filled trenches etc. They can often be called by some politically incorrect names aswell ...This one was made in an era when health and safety was very lax so will tend to shake you to pieces when being used.
-
The new badge has eventually turned up from the states, unfourtunatley I got
hit for import duties etc which pushed the price up quite a bit.
The second photo shows a sneak preview of my other project a 1960 Wacker
Trench Rammer.
-
Are any members going? I was half thinking of entering next year as it will be 5 years scince I last exhibited.
-
One thing my machine was missing was the belt pulley guard.
After a rummage through my store I tuned up this battered one.
After a bit of panel beating and a coat of paint it was ok to refit.
My diaphragm kit finally turned up tonight so I will fit it after the
weekend.
