This, what I think is a steam/compressed air pump has been unearthed. Don't know the make or anything about it and it is seized up. Also, if you look closely at the second photo, you will see the pump head is split. Don't know why that photo has come up as a thumbnail, but if you click on it, it will enlarge.

Can anyone identify this engine. There is no makers name visible, nor any numbers. All information greatly appreciated. As you can see, the plug lead is missing. We suspect that where it attaches has been removed for another engine. Ie. Points, coil etc.

My mate Dunc has been given this Gardenmaster 85. Any information would be appreciated and a source for a manual. Serial Number K12517 Engine is a Tecumsen/Aspera Motors. Type ML30/91211. Serial number 400286.

Can you find any numbers? Engine, chassis, ID plate?

Easy enough to remove the flywheel. Use a bolt in the centre and give the bolt a smack. DON'T try and lever it off.

It's also possible the timing may be out. The key in the flywheel may be worn allowing the flywheel to slip. This happened on a B&S engine I had.

The Showman kindly made up three ploughing sighting poles for me, which he brought up to Newby. I've been thinking of how to transport them when at a match. Today I set too to see what I could come up with. Some aluminium 1" angle, U bolt, plastic pipe and a couple of pieces of cushion foam and two hours later the result. Yesterday I made up some points for them. Held in place with split dowels. Didn't want to damage Chris's paint work. The poles rest on a rubber strip and another piece of foam goes 'tween poles and U bolt, to stop them rattling about. BTW. I can still operate the clutch. .

Maybe Link have taken over Saxon. That's the spitting image of mine even down to the paint job on the wheels.

The core plug at the back of the head on my Td5 Disco, decided to give up the ghost. Simple job to remove and replace. Oh no.it's not. Let's fit the engine that close to the bulkhead you can just squeeze your hand in. Eight hours work to replace a £2 item. Design engineers at Land Rover should be chemically castrated to stop them breeding.

Canal and river water can contain wells disease. Rats are the main cause I believe. Hope he recovers soon, Ian and is back to normal before long.

I was pulled back a little, Ian. Then some strategically placed rocks in front of the off side front wheel got me on my way again.
