  1. Your going to tell me you've got a milling machine. Missed the milling cutter, Koen.
  2. Be a bit of a grind I guess.
  3. Another nice bit of work, Rhys. How did you achieve the taper?
  4. This rally you mention, where is it? Can you put it in, Up Coming Shows, please.
  5. They don't plough like a single furrow plough, Chris. They cut through already tilled soil and push it up in ridges as the potato plant tops start to show. Being painted wont affect the result.
  6. I can't help but that looks a great little machine.
  7. The match had a good write up in the Cumberland News yesterday. Some photo's, but none horticultural. We got favourable comments though. Seems we created a lot of interest with spectators and ploughmen, showing what our little machines can do. Looks like a horticultural section will be a permanent fixture. Many thanks to you Scots lads for attending. Couldn't have done it without you.
  8. If it's used as a getaway vehicle, witnesses will give conflicting descriptions.
  9. All the best, Jonathan. Have a good day.
  10. You've got an odd one anyway, Chris.
  11. You need to work out how to attach it now.
  12. Maybe, but it would be clean to work on.
  13. Will you do mine before you bring it up?

    Pneumatic wheels

Yes. I guess you want 8" dia including tyre?

Rhys, the Black Horse has modified scooter wheels. Tyre size is 3-50 x 8. They may take a narrower tyre. The hubs are trailer hubs.
  16. I reckon you could have him and Paul bidding against each other for that.
  17. Jonathan, (expeatfarmer), asked me if I'd like a trip out to a local scrap/reclaim merchants. Object of the exercise was to see if he could find some pallet racking and have a ratch about. We had a good day and visited two reclaim places and another that sells/breaks mowers etc. Unfortunately no suitable racking was found. But we didn't return empty handed. At the first place I got two short window sash weights to hang on my plough. Nothing at the second, but at the third we both got items. I'll leave Jonathan to say what he got. I got this roller. 10" dia x 37" wide. Will require modifying to make a ballast roller and a frame made. At the place I got the roller, we asked about Wheel Horse wheel weights. "I had some", he said. "But couldn't sell them". "I think I threw them in the scrap, but I'm not sure". We had a search around but no weights to be found. Not surprisingly really, with stuff buried under more stuff. He's going to have a look and let us know if he finds them. Here's hoping.
  18. It performed well, Nigel. Had a nice little plough on the back as well.
  19. Thanks for the photo's and for clearing up the results. Not forgetting your invaluable help.
  20. To far for just a weekend. But I know of a very nice couple with a nice dry bedroom.
  21. Now that's a good idea.
  22. Filled in my form. Just need to post and book accommodation for afterwards.
