  1. Looks a good day. I feel sorry for the tree in the last photo, with the brothers Grimm leaning on it.
  2. Worth it to you to get, especially with the attachments, but I think it's ugly.
  3. Had a good day and the weather was kind. Mainly an agricultural show as the title says, but a lot going on. Cattle, sheep, horses, craft, children's competitions and a round of champion Cumberland wrestling. Plus stalls etc. Something for everyone, but it would have been nice to see more vintage entries. First, to put you in the mood, some shots of the site. The only stationary engines. A couple of horse draw pieces of equipment. The chaps who own these, also have quite a large collection of horse draw agricultural equipment. Some of the tractors. This crawler created quite a lot of interest. Fergie engine mated to an American crawler, (Jonathan knows the make) done by some company in Perthshire. Some very nice motorcycles. Not seen a Thruxton Velocette since my coffee bar days. Three of the more interesting cars. Last but not least the horticultural entries.
  4. Looks the dogs whatsits, Richard. If you want grass to cut, come up here. It grows that fast you can see it growing.
  5. Same size as my rear discharge, Ewan. Just fires the grass out the side.
  6. They could but cut and extended using the other box section as an insert/sleeve.
  7. Looks like a new 'in, Richard.
  8. When the Showman tried out the one I made for him, a small problem reared it's head. The ends of the box section under the towing eye were catching when turning. Should have made the plate with the pin hole longer, but it was all I had. A piece left over from the slot hitches and cut in half. Yesterday I did a little mod to mine. Works ok now, either way up..
  9. Been painting the underneath. Two coats of red oxide. I'd been given a couple of cans of Tetrosyl stone chip a while back. So I decided to use that. Three coats and it's begining to look better.
  10. Thanks for the photo's, Rob. An interesting rear axle in that last one and drive arrangement.
  11. Scroll up to the photo of the underneath and imagine it covered in red oxide paint. Nothing worth photographing yet Chris. Saving the film.
  12. Got a bit done to the shell today. It's been at a friends to have a couple of patches welded in. Better welder than yours truly. The steel I provided was a little thicker than the original and the patches do show. Though that's not a problem. It's going to be a worker, not a show piece. Should last me out. Attacked it with drill and wire wheel this morning and gave the underneath a coat of red oxide. Looks better already. It'll get a second coat tomorrow then a couple of coats of agricultural enamel. When that's done it'll be the turn of the top.
  13. I've got booked in with the C-81, Black Horse and the Sears/Roper.
  14. Drum on a pea springs to mind.
  15. Brush painted. One coat red oxide and one of agricultural enamel. I bet you have.
  16. I made a folder for up at the farm out of 3"x3" angle. Not precision but does what's needed.

    Falls

It didn't steer very well either.
  18. A standard hitch to fit a slot hitch would just be a piece of flat bar with a hole in each end. I may be making some more slot hitches and clevis ones at some future time.
