  1. What's the make of your trailer Chris? Good to have info as Paul say.
  2. Not been there for ages so I will endeavour to visit Amberly sometime. Great photos and it looks darn hot over there too.

Hopefully another Bolens LF owner will give you his opinion. I do 't have a LF myself so I am only going on what others have said.

I know that the Kohler twin engines in the Bolens Large Frames (1886 models) have a tendency to overheat but whether that is the design of the engine or the lack of air glow within the engine bay I am not too certain. One thing for sure if the engine is shot it will be very expensive to repair.
  5. Is it a Bolens? The hump on the bonnet suggest that's might be a late H16 or something of that nature? The steering wheel appears to be fairly modern.
  6. Holy Crap! It's amazing what's knocking around in the fuel tank.

    Bolens HT20

Get in touch with Rick aka Blackjakexxxxvvx on GTT. He's a top bloke and may be able to help you out. You could mention my name Andrew from the UK. Enjoy Florida!
  8. Thanks for posting the photos. I do like that diesel tractor in its original state. Just delightful.
  9. Brilliant find and a rare one to boot too! I will ill be really interested to see more photos of this. For more info, get some photos up on GTT in the appropriate forum.

    Bolens HT20

That's my understanding too. The only other thing is to dig deep and try and get the parts from the US from a supplier who might be breaking a HT20/ implement.
  13. Unbelievable some people I am afraid. These CC can fetch strong money.
  14. I know several who got Cub Cadets though.....
  15. Good to see something a little unusual. I think these were green originally?
  16. Brilliant bit of engineering James. Great video as well.
  17. I could knock something up like that in 45 hours and it won't look any different!
  18. "a tyreing job but I'm wheely glad i did it."
  19. I ordered my carb repair set from the US plus a few other bits and bobs for the 1050. I will have to glue the float back together as a temporary repair as these are no longer available but do crop up as NOS occasionally on eBay USA.
  20. I remembered it vaguely; it's not for me as I am scared of needles
  21. Nigel, what was your business in the Old Town out of interest?
  22. Over the last couple of days I became aware of stale petrol smells in my garage. After checking my modern Lawnmowers and chainsaws, I narrowed it down to my Bolens 800. It was leaking from the carb so I pulled off the carb to drain the stale fuel. I have turned off the fuel tap at the petrol tank but not at the carb end. I also noticed that the float was broken which could explain why it was leaking. Anyhow I now need to put this together. I hope Brian (Bolens1000) from the States can help me out with a new float for the carb and carb kit. I will clean it all out with carb cleaner once I got all the necessary bits. I have put it all back together so I know where everything is. The fifth photo shows the broken float in a old washing up bowl. The last two photos shows the decals made by Mark.
