  1. Can anyone hazard a guess at what I bought recently?
  2. Daniel, We have a dual at some point! Cheers Andrew
  3. Spot on Alain. Thanks. Is that the correct size too? I need to check the tyre sizes for the front. Cheers
  4. Thanks Alain. Just had a look; a good price. I would really like those 3 ribbed tyres for the front too. I think All Terrain Tyres have them. I will check them out too.
  5. That's a very nice tractor there and the round fenders set it off a treat.
  6. I will be buying some ag tyres for the Bolens and for the front a set of 3 ribbed tyres as the front ones are practically bald. A tug of war would be fun whatever happens!
  7. Tom one word to describe the CC. Fabulous! Two words to describe you. Lucky Sod!
  8. I fear that Daniel will upload a photo of this incident in the fullness of time! However, once my1254 is up and running, I will challenge him to a race around his garden! If I win then that's sorted but if I loose I will blame him for his workmanship! That's a lovely Wheel Horse Daniel got and that exhaust made it so quite too.
  9. I dropped off the 1254 this morning at Daniel's house. Here are some photos of my Bolens in its new surroundings and some photos of Daniel's rare Wheel Horse. It's an electronic one apparently. And yes that's a tow rope to tow my Bolens down to his workshop. Childishly, he got a photo of me and my Bolens being towed behind his WheelHorse.
  10. Thanks. My 1254 falls in the greenish/greyish white category as it was, I think, built in 1971. M
  11. At long last, due to family bereavements, I have loaded my 1254 to go to Dorset to a friend (Daniel, aka Robins) to fit a new wiring loom in it and to do some carb fettling. When I got it back in early autumn I pumped up the tyres and greased everywhere and unlocked the diff lock to enable her to move around freely. Today, she moved from the back of the garage for the first time and onto the back of the Hilux. She's really is a solid bit of kit and worth the effort to revive her. I got a new fuel tank, battery tray, belts, air filter and other items to aid her rejuvenation. She will be dropped off tomorrow morning. Be good to have a catch up with Daniel and see how his WHs are faring.
  12. Looking good Alain. Out of interest what is the paint code for your Bolens?
  13. That's a great find Charlie and as others have said leave the wheels as they are.

    C-120 refurb.

Look absolutely great Norman. A credit to your workmanship.
  15. Alain, Glad to hear that that little anomaly is solved! Also pleased with myself that I actually contributed something constructive about Bolens! Andrew
  16. Oh that's a pity! All that work you have done on it I thought that will do me.....
  17. Thanks Chris. So it would fit happily in the back of my car if I should get one.
  18. Really good and unusual find there. Be interesting to see it 'printed'.
  19. Chris, good to see you got it all moving freely. Just out of interest what are the dimensions of it? Thanks Andrew
  20. Alain, Dr Bolens on GTtalk may well know the answer and I think there's a pinned thread on belts within the Bolens forum. Cheers Andrew

    Bolens 800

Mark, I think these look fine to me. As you say it's incredibably difficult to get accurate photos of original ones to compare with. Thanks for sorting. Andrew
  22. Great photos of the set up andI too will be interested in your modification.
  23. Alain, I wish our tractors were in that good nick before restoration. Our climate is not conducive to metal I am afraid. Anyway look forward to seeing this one being put back together. Andrew
