  1. To prove my point, I completed a jigsaw puzzle in one day and it said 2-4 years on the side of the box
  2. Beware to anyone considering selling on that major auction site from the US. I wont mention their name, but it begins with a E and ends in Bay. I sold an engine block and literally minutes after the buyer receives it he files a claim that it and says it was broken. Prior to the sale the customer emails me and asks several questions to determine if it is the same part, as it it turns out they are from the same tractor and he is happy because his engine block has a hole in it. I spend three hours cleaning and inspecting the block before packing and shipment, I include a few extras not listed in the sale like all the connecting bolts, cam gear, and oil pump, and pack it up securely using bubble wrap and foam padding. I sold the block for 50.00 plus 20.00 flat rate shipping. Other blocks like it are trending at 125.00. It actually cost me 26.00 for the shipping as extra parts and packing material has increased the weight estimate, so I am settling for a net profit of 44.00. After he files a claim with the auction site, I email him and ask if the package was damaged in transit and to send pictures of the damaged/broken block. That email and two more subsequent emails were never answered and no pictures were ever sent.. Both eBay and PayPal also requested pictures. That was over three weeks ago and the auction site is still holding my money until the 19th of November. If he still requests a refund anytime before November 19th the auction site will give him the money even without pictures or proof of damage. The auction site also said I was going to be charged 26.00 for a return shipping label if he decided to return the item. I removed my 55 for sale items from the auction site, closed my account, removed my CC and bank account from my PayPal account and closed it. I also filed a fraud report to my Visa card for the amount the auction site and customer owe me. Apparently the auction site has a buyer protection guarantee, but absolutely no seller protection. Their response to me was that losses were a part of dong business. I replied that since they were a partner in the profits they should be a partner in the losses, they declined to shoulder any of the burden. If the customer makes a claim and receives the money back I intend on filing a criminal complaint. I know he isn't sending pictures because his block isn't apart and he can't and/or he is afraid I might have an identifying mark or have taken pictures before shipping, I did.
  3. I recently had an issue with a auction site here in the US. I'll post the issue in off topic so as mot to hijack your thread.
  4. Is this a shipping programme based in the UK? Or is it affiliated with a US auction site?
  5. This has been going around Facebook recently. My field of study for graduate work is evolutionary psychology and it has been not only apparent that not only has the physical size of the human brain been smaller since jst after the Second World War, but also the cognitive level of those that have been born in recent years seems to have dropped significantly. What is perplexing is how intelligent these people believe they are and their inability to recognize a more advanced ability in others. Charles Darwin's work in evolution and adaptation is and has been well known for a long time, however I do not think scientists appreciate how fast these adaptions and change can happen when a species has to do nothing in order to thrive
  6. By the look of the marks of your tire tread in the dirt it looks like the tires are mounted backwards?

    Bolens 850

I may have to pick your brain for info on the 850, a young man nearby has one and he wants a deck from my 1556 and I do not know if it will work or not
  8. Thanks Andrew, I saw the low hours, the dual brakes, rear PTO, three point, and finish mower and put a bid of 1100 on it, the other bidder went to 1000 and it pushed my bid to 1050, one more bid and he would have ha d it, oooh so close. Did you know the C and D wheel Horse tractors had thrust washer bearings under their spindles?
  9. I only collect single cylinders, but I ended up winning the auction on this Wheel Horse D-200 twin cylinder at a very reasonable price. So now I see a Bolens HT20 in my future as well. Someone took two Brinly single gang discs and a Brinly three point sleeve hitch adapter and married them to make a nice double gang disc.
  10. The Snow Thrower has been parted out and many parts have been sold
  11. I'm afraid it "was" for a earlier narrow frame cub cadet, I'll delete the ad

    Overflow

Should have used artificial turf to cover them.
  13. What about freedom from harassment? This is really despicable. While British paparazzi may think their hands are clean, I think its safe to say the people doing this are doing so at the behest and remuneration of UK tabloids. Very sad http://www.msn.com/en-us/entertainment/celebrity/uks-prince-harry-hits-out-at-media-intrusion-over-new-us-girlfriend/ar-AAk2zzH?OCID=ansmsnnews11
  14. Nope not a set for a tractor, I actually bought new tires for the van. A set of four Kenda 235/75/r15 tires with mounting, balancing, free lifetime rotation, and road hazard 289.00
  15. Thanks for posting these pictures Norm, it was an absolute delight to see them, again, and again
  16. Mine are D-160 Kohlers, but basically the same. I will tell you the front 5.70-10 tires make it nearly one finger steering
  17. Mine are too, I recently saw a spat of these in several forums, but like I said the comment here have been obviously tongue in cheek, not so everywhere else Thinking about this makes me wonder if making these comments isn't just a way we deflect small amount of the blame, lol. I probably notice these things more because my wife and I live in a lifestyle where she does not work outside the home, drive, or make financial decisions. Of course under that system, I will always be the goat if things were to go wrong. Because you let her? Have you thought of not telling her the amount you make and just giving her the same amount as the tax man?
  18. With the election going the way it is here in the states I might be asking if you could sub lease me a space for me and my 24 tractors, might have a wife coming too, not sure yet, lol
  19. That is really high octane, the gas in the states starts at 87 with ethanol at most places. In some states they sell gas with 85% ethanol, and the car manufacturers stopped warranty on the engines if it was used in the Flex Fuel vehicles it was designed for. Were lucky, in the country people wont buy that stuff.
  20. That's why I only use real gas, 89 or 91 octane, with one ounce of Seafoam and 1/4 ounce of Marvel Mystery Oil per gallon You blokes probably can't get real gas, or maybe you can.
  21. Seems like all I ever do. Working on the H16 carb, needs a new main nozzle, rebuilding and Allis/simplicity deck, tilling the garden, stacking some firewood, replanting some Aloe, and tomatoes, blah, blah, blah
