Great historical pictures. i really enjoyed seeing them, Thanks
-
Our soil is like that as well. Nice set up you have there. Is the front reservoir for just weight or for weight and fuel?
-
It as in the high 80's yesterday and for the the last few days, but for the next few days it will reach into the low 90's here in Oklahoma. We had an extremely mild winter last year and while not hoping for a harsh winter, we do need a killing freeze to take care of insects and I wouldn't mind some good snowfall to test the snowblowers.

Great pictures and video. Thanks for sharing

Thanks, I only have 4 trees on 20 acres so I'm not well versed the the arboristic arts
-
Replaced the coil, condenser points for 28.00, repair/rebuilt the carb with spares and off she went. II don't think it does well with green branches
-
The original Goodyears on the rear and the the lowest priced Carlisle replacements on the front said good bye today in favor of Kenda K500 Super Turfs. I bought the 24 x 9.50-12's instead of the 23 x 10.50-12's because I like the taller tire and the rim size only accounts of a 1/2 wider tire in the the 10.50 width, with a substantially better price, 150.00 delivered on the rears and 62.00 delivered on the front tires 16 x 6.50-8's. I took a comparison with the Bolens H16 rear tires and I think it is very hard to tell the difference in width. However, if I would not have been able to get the taller tires I might have been more hesitant about the 9.50's unless they were a lot less
-
Farmers did this to improve traction backing up
-
Good bit of movie making, you might look for a female costar next time
-
Thanks everyone, everyday I get up in the morning (and not at the Veterans Hospital) feels like a birthday
-
Bolens 15" rims in 10" width, yoohoo
-
So far a set of 6 hole 15 inch diameter 10 inch wide rims and a set of Duro Frontier tires in 27 x 11-15 tires for the Bolens 1476 rear tires, a set of 16 x 6.50-8 front turf tires for the Bolens 1256, a couple of cat 0 center link turnbuckles (2 for 32.00 delivered), a Wards 5 hp tiller, Savage long barrel 15 shot .22 rifle (75.00). I also received two deluxe dinners and two free passes on the adult roller coaster, no requirements added!

Thank you all, I'm going to buy me some really nice stuff, lol
-
Really like the pictures, wish we had events such as this around here, but I think the cattle ranchers might string you up if you plowed and land up around here, lol
-
were you looking at pages 6a.15 and 6a.17, they seem very clear, do they not show what you need?
-
The last two pages of section 6 show the controls

You may need to be more specific in you query as there were dozens, if not more, variants depending on manufacturer and application. IF you are just speaking of the carburetor, then we still may have a few different versions, but maybe not. I have the the parts, service manual for that engine, if you want the manuals let me know. WHOOOPS I think you want the Kohler magnum 12 hp, 14 hp, or 16 hp? These pictures are from the 18 and 20 hp twins. I can send you the whole manuals with the parts images, but the images are virtually the same if you are speaking of the carbs and not the dash of a certain machine. Again I have the Magnum 12/14/16 serivce and owners manual if you need them

That is a great place for the adjustment knob, never thought to look there
-
Yes, very nice plowing George, but if I may, can I ask a question about the workings of these ploughs? The Brinly and many other ploughs have a screw adjustment to change the landing of the plow, and while I see your tractor can go up and down on depth I don't see an adjustment for the suck. Am I missing something?
-
Surely that thing isn't street legal?

OSPHO has a clear varnish type sealer in it that dries overnight that results in a sacrificial layer, but no it is not for a heavy rust, more for surface rust. Most items down, here even with our humidity, have minimal rust.
-
OH MY! there is some work on that machine, Do you ever use OSPHO http://www.ospho.com/directions.htm I love it.
-
Thanks, yes magnet test checked out, I think it may be just the condenser, but I did not want to go the piece meal route. Thank you Richard.
