  1. were you looking at pages 6a.15 and 6a.17, they seem very clear, do they not show what you need?
  2. The last two pages of section 6 show the controls Kohler Magnum12-14-16_service-manual_tp_2203_a.pdf
  3. You may need to be more specific in you query as there were dozens, if not more, variants depending on manufacturer and application. IF you are just speaking of the carburetor, then we still may have a few different versions, but maybe not. I have the the parts, service manual for that engine, if you want the manuals let me know. WHOOOPS I think you want the Kohler magnum 12 hp, 14 hp, or 16 hp? These pictures are from the 18 and 20 hp twins. I can send you the whole manuals with the parts images, but the images are virtually the same if you are speaking of the carbs and not the dash of a certain machine. Again I have the Magnum 12/14/16 serivce and owners manual if you need them
  4. That is a great place for the adjustment knob, never thought to look there
  5. Yes, very nice plowing George, but if I may, can I ask a question about the workings of these ploughs? The Brinly and many other ploughs have a screw adjustment to change the landing of the plow, and while I see your tractor can go up and down on depth I don't see an adjustment for the suck. Am I missing something?
  6. Surely that thing isn't street legal?
  7. OSPHO has a clear varnish type sealer in it that dries overnight that results in a sacrificial layer, but no it is not for a heavy rust, more for surface rust. Most items down, here even with our humidity, have minimal rust.
  8. OH MY! there is some work on that machine, Do you ever use OSPHO http://www.ospho.com/directions.htm I love it.
  9. Thanks, yes magnet test checked out, I think it may be just the condenser, but I did not want to go the piece meal route. Thank you Richard.
  10. This is the first 4 speed with reverse model I've seen. It has some sort of clutch on the back and one belt. Most of these had two belts that were twisted and had a lever to engage a reverse by using a tension pulley to run the belts the other way. It has some surface rust on the skirt, a little overspray on it, but the tines and gear box look nearly new
  11. Having some trouble getting her to fire. I took of the flywheel and cleaned and sanded every thing real good, but still no spark.I'm thinking it is the condensor, so I made an offer of 25 dollars for the coil, points, and condensor as one unit off epay.
  12. Similar to our M60A1, but heavier. I carried the M60 and had a two man squad lugging an extra barrel, tripod, and 4 cans of ammo. Also carried every other weapon in the armory. It was somewhat awkward, but my favorite was the M16A1 with the M203 grenade launcher attached. Man that was a sweet piece.
  13. Best wishes Iain, hope you have a great day
  14. Yes, I have been thoroughly embarrassed getting on the wrong side of a Massey or Bolens foot feed hydro and being in the pioroet position while the tractor takes off full speed in reverse. Gladly no pictures have surfaced
  15. nothing like good ramps and a wench. lol I used to ride them up, but with an implement and my 200 lbs, that's nearly half a tonne. most ramps aren't rated for that much weight. I walk along them while they SLOWLY inch up. Hydrostatic drives make it easiet.
  16. Even if there were more than two, there are several things very apparent. The Scotsman made the Romans very, very, angry (lol), two Scotsman are very fierce fighters, and three, they failed to finish the job. Hence no Romans in Scotland anymore. https://www.yahoo.com/news/roman-bullets-tell-story-1-123100617.html

    MOWER DECK.

Looks like a late model AYP Sears LT 1000 deck or something in the Murray/MTD family
  18. I am very happy to see that I am not the only one that this happens too. I have two simplicity grader blades, why? Because another one came up for sale
  19. Your engine spec number is related to the Locke MFG equipment maker of Locke-Devere mowers, It was probably a replacement for a triplex reel mower rather than their early 60s garden tractor.
  20. Really nice photos, thanks for sharing
  21. No starter, many of these engines came with the electric starter shroud and a block off plate like mine has on the back
