A journalist friend of mine had no time for the likes of the Sun etc. Their attitude was/is, why let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Around here we have old codgers go to sales like this and pay 4 times the prices shown here. They will bid against each other at an auction until the item is well over the list price new and then some just to keep someone else from having it. I wish you chaps could see an Oklahoma farm auction.

Progress is still very slow due to other commitments and may be even slower for a while as my cameraman now has flu. We have the clutch and driveshaft out of the tractor and found the problem, details in the latest video

You almost don't realise how attached you get to them till they've gone. I'm also sorry to hear about your Collie.

Can't get the computer to talk to the camera, -Norm. Not having the best of weeks, with anything,Bethany my little helper ( Hinderer) with my projects passed away on Wednesday, feeling a little bit lost without her. She was nearly 13 though which is a good run for a Labrador. I'm sure I'll get the photos up soon.

Whilst pulling down an old outbuilding at work I found an old hammer in a chest of drawers. Slight surface rust but could clearly read 'Stahwille 10805 Germany'. It has a wooden shaft marked 'Hickory'. Did some research and these are currently still on sale known as a pecking hammer.
I sanded it all down and gave the head a coat of Japlac. I polished the head surface and single claw. Hey presto a new hammer that gave me an hours enjoyment in the cave. These are retailing at $104.60 on line. Thought I would share this little story before you discard an old hammer. I will hang mine with the others I don't use that often.

I went to a big Case tractor auction a couple years back. About 50 running units. The pedal tractors brought more than the full size ones!

Another great video Joseph and Iain.  I like the footage of the transmission on the ramp as that make it very clear what you are doing.

I really dig those two RAMs  I need another one to scratch my itching.....

I look forward to updates on the G14's tranny .

We are currently waiting for the delivery of some parts for our G10 project so we decided to get another tractor out of storage. I think we picked the wrong one as it took us two days of moving around to get to it.

This G14 was last used in 2009 when it was our main grass cutting tractor. The transmission locked up and it was put in storage for a little while, which turned out to be 10 years.

My rear discharge mowing deck is getting rather worse for wear. I've already replaced the top, but now the tin worm is getting the better of the sides. So today I went to see another I knew of. It was a bit grimy and the paint underneath was flaking due to being in a shed with an earthen floor. Shell is good and solid and everything turns freely. Looks like it has seen very little use as the blades are still sharp and keen.
A good clean and some paint and it should be in service by the end of the month.

After loading it into the Disco, the seller mentioned a plough at the back of the shed. He thought it was a Brinly and it proved to be so. In good condition and the share coated with a good layer of grease. Again looked little used. Needless to say, that ended up keeping the deck company on the journey to their new home.

I declined the offer of the C-125 in need of some TLC, the deck came off. Discretion being the better part of valour. I've promised to put that in the for sale section.
