Nige, don't spose you wanna restore a Trojan for me , I aint got the time or know how .
-
Have you ever sold something that you wish you hadn't .
A year ago I sold my RJ58 ,it needed a fair bit of work but was still a nice tractor and I ended up selling it for £50 less than I bought it for
It still went to good home and I hope the new owner is enjoying her
-
I like the fergy but a bit too pricey for me .
-
That's realy cool John, I love folk art .
-
Yup, you are dead right, she's gonna effing kill ya.
-
Love the pic of York Mark ,
Ageless , no evidence of modern time , convert that pic to sepia tone & you could almost be in Georgian period
-
Ah the fun dirty bit , still therapeutic ., wil it be sprayed or hand painted?
-
She looks right at home with the big boys Tom
-
Looks like a good project chris , pretty rare those ones . Did that model have wheel arch fenders???
-
Once again another great video Ian ,
-
Simon, would you do a thread on your Royal Enfield & if you have other interesting machines it would be good to hear about them
-
We have some pill boxes down here in somerset dotted around the countryside.
As a kid we used to play in the old pill boxes at Horchurch airdrome , building dens .
Horchurch airfield was part of the London & Thames defence along with biggin hill & Duxford.
Those were great days
I used to live in Abbey Wood Lane , shown at the bottom of the map airfield layout.
Even to this day my father often digs up old parts from a crashed plane that didn't reach one of the runways and crash landed two houses away.
-
Some fascinating pic there Simon , I wished I lived nearer as I would enquire about finding them a new home,
Love the Royal Enfield , is it yours?
-
Simon, I'm in no rush to get it restored ,so when you get back is fine .
It is showing a drake & fletcher pressure gauge , so I thought the whole thing was a D&F.
But then it could be a weeks????????
-
Welcome to Mom Simon , look forward to hearing about your sprayers
I particularly am interested in this as I also have a D & F orchard sprayer that I am hoping to get restored one day .( fancy a job Restoring her for me ) . Here are some pics
-
Thanx for the plans , could be really useful to the Bolens guys here .
Shipping cost from US to UK works out really expensive especially when they add all the taxes aswell
-
Does your Tecumseh engine have solid state ignition as these are prone to having problems starting if the ignition coil fails.
-
Here is what your lawn ranger should look like when done , great lawn tractors , The lawn ranger was Cecil Ponds favorite tractor ,
To find out all about Cecil Pond I highly recommend buying the Wheelhorse complete history book from Michael Martino .
Tecumseh engines are quite hard to find here in UK especially the one that you need so you may need to consider putting a kohler engine in which is a better engine in my opinion.
You may find you need to get some part ie steering wheel , from USA.
You have found a great little tractor & there is plenty of wheelhorse experts here on Mom to help you get your lawn ranger up & running.
Most of all , have fun doing restoring it
-
Great idea Mark , I'm sure that would do well on eBay or as an upgrade addition to your decal collection.
-
Good haul Chris, the little ranger looks a nice little project
-
-
I very much doubt he will sell it at that price
-
I enjoy The great company on this site ,some great knowledgable people .& looking forward to some new members
Love to see the young guys here enjoying the chat & vintage machines
-
Ah can't beat a good ole burn up on a cold January morning .
It reminds me of being a kid and building a den in the woods then having a bonfire around the den
-
Gonna try to get a Wheelhorse gathering down hear in the south west ,
Maybe at the bath & west show
