What more could you ask for in a hobby than to have mates that will drive hundreds of miles to help a fellow enthusiast out of a spot of bother .
That's the best part of being in this hobby
-
That reminds me. , I must sort mine out
£191 for 7 tractors , good deal Paul
-
Awesome description Richard , good to have you back ,
My stater squeals on starting , I guess that it needs a refurb like you have shown.
Fancy another one to do
Neil
-
Simon Cole , is a guy from blandford forum that has had a number of Wheelhorse tractors & a few other types of garden tractor but I think he is more into classic minis now
-
wow Chris that is awesome. What a great project to get your teeth into.
I bet you were pretty excited waiting for her to arrive home.
Great find
-
Just love those early Bolens ride ons , where did that one come from ? What's its history?
Here's a couple of pics
-
I like the tractor, what is the other thing parked in the workshop , it looks real interesting.
-
Wished I had my motorcycle liscence , I would love to get a vintage bike .
The top pic is a great timeless picture Simon , convert that to black n white would look great .
Thanx for sharing
Got any vids ?
,
-
Tom , will you be able to adapt the reel mower to work on your wheel horse ..??
-
Good work Mark, what would be the rough cost to set that lot up ????
-
Yes, I am am interested in seeing your fiends tractor , would be really grateful if you could get some pics
-
She's a real beauty Charlie , good for another 30 years , when you will be in your 50s
I see she is getting some admiring looks from the other horse looking over the fence ,
Is that your horse ?
-
Have you got any more pics,? Like most wheelhorse parts they are interchangeable , or if rare you could try the U.S. ebay or post a wanted add on Redsquare .
-
Have you got any pics ? What sort of condition is it in , got any implements with iit ?
-
That's is a Wheelhorse lawn ranger , there are a few guys here on Mom that own those.
Great little lawn tractors and quite popular. That particular one looks to be in good shape , if it were closer I would buy it
If your friend has one similar to this one below , if it is a 1961 with a Lauson engine I would guess that it is a suburban 441 which are really desirable tractors
-
I don't know many people with only one horse , congrats on winning the lawn Rangers
Have fun
-
Some real nice stationary engines there, love to see the various pumps & engines
-
-
Those wheel arches look just right Ian, is there room to attach a tool box on the back?
-
Going by the angle of the pics Chris , the frame looks to be a short frame blade for short frame tractors , which would coincide with the engine that you got as the dyno start engines were only on the short frame tractors '1966 to 1968 .
If that is the case then I would say it's an extremely rare dozer . Great find mate
-
Great find chris , the blade looks in great condition ,is the blade for a short frame tractor?
-
Looks like it has hardly been used
-
Nigel.
This time I'm gonna take you up on your offer , I will get you some pics of the one that I want doing , i will be going to Essex in a few weeks and I will bring it too you .
-
Ah ,so you bought that engine then , I was looking at that one too , some good spares on the engine.
-
Charlie ,
Yes that guy bought it from me & he also bought the commando 8 from me , I didnt realise it was 1 of 5 demo models .
Thank you for telling me that , I regret selling it even more now
This pic was taken in 1958 at a horticultural show in Oxfordshire promoting the new wheelhorse RJ 58
I wonder if it was my old one .
I know of 3 original RJs that still survive
