Welcome to Mom Simon , look forward to hearing about your sprayers
I particularly am interested in this as I also have a D & F orchard sprayer that I am hoping to get restored one day .( fancy a job Restoring her for me ) . Here are some pics
-
Thanx for the plans , could be really useful to the Bolens guys here .
Shipping cost from US to UK works out really expensive especially when they add all the taxes aswell
-
Does your Tecumseh engine have solid state ignition as these are prone to having problems starting if the ignition coil fails.
-
Here is what your lawn ranger should look like when done , great lawn tractors , The lawn ranger was Cecil Ponds favorite tractor ,
To find out all about Cecil Pond I highly recommend buying the Wheelhorse complete history book from Michael Martino .
Tecumseh engines are quite hard to find here in UK especially the one that you need so you may need to consider putting a kohler engine in which is a better engine in my opinion.
You may find you need to get some part ie steering wheel , from USA.
You have found a great little tractor & there is plenty of wheelhorse experts here on Mom to help you get your lawn ranger up & running.
Most of all , have fun doing restoring it
-
Great idea Mark , I'm sure that would do well on eBay or as an upgrade addition to your decal collection.
-
Good haul Chris, the little ranger looks a nice little project
-
-
-
I very much doubt he will sell it at that price
-
I enjoy The great company on this site ,some great knowledgable people .& looking forward to some new members
Love to see the young guys here enjoying the chat & vintage machines
-
Ah can't beat a good ole burn up on a cold January morning .
It reminds me of being a kid and building a den in the woods then having a bonfire around the den
-
Gonna try to get a Wheelhorse gathering down hear in the south west ,
Maybe at the bath & west show
-
Good pics mark, we haven't had any snow here yet this year in somerset, just hoping that we don't get the floods again .
Fingers crossed.
I notice you getting a bit of early advertising for the vintage Bronte Show.
-
Apparently these were really expensive when they were first on sale, congratulations paul ,a great purchase
-
What a nuisance having to leave the Scottish winter and go down to that horrid Mediterranean sea & mess around on yer boat.
Love the barrow, could really do with one of those here.
-
It's a handy bit of kit to have if you intent to get a front dozer blade
-
Defo a commando 800 , like mark says .
Nice tractor ,
-
The round hood wheelhorses are rare in UK , occasionally a lawn ranger will rear its hooves and show up for sales &you may have to wait & be patient . The round hoods will command more money when buying .
Check out Ebay as most of us do as garden tractors often come up for sale there.
C series or raider are the most popular , when buying a tractor be mindful that there are lawn tractors & garden tractors and there are limitations with lawn tractors in what they will do when you want to work them
Good luck
Ask as many questions here on Mom as possible before you make your purchase ,
And a purely optional thing you may want to consider is become a supporter here at MOM , for just the price of less than a packet of ciggies by becoming a supporter of the forum you will get a years supporter membership & this will give you extra benefits of this forum , as many other members have found out .
Good luck & have fun

Chris, there are a few good show down this way & you are more than welcome to stay Here.
Bath & west show is a real good show, although there isn't too much horticultural display there is a lot to see with displays and other goings on . There is also quite a few steam shows ,
Just to wet your whistle too , there is a Harley Davidson dealer in the town that is worth a visit
On May 1 there is a Harley show

Blimmin cheek . I hope he doesn't have any problems with them Mark otherwise you may end up getting a lot of emails from annoyed buyers.
-
Looking forward to the new show season this year , how many are ya gonna do this year chris.?

Saxon trailers are one of the best garden trailers in my opinion .
Good luck with the resto
