There was one on eBay a few months ago, I know they are a rare machine and only seen one for sale in 3 or 4 years
-
Great video Ian
what are you plans with the D?
-
-
I haven't received mine yet
-
Many thanks, helpful to know that they do the trick.

Just out of interest what make and model do you have?
-
I do also agree that the machine is pricey, however in the long run it is cheaper as you won't have to keep paying for gas, it may also stop the frustration and colourful language when getting a bolt off as it is more efficient.
As Andrew said, hopefully it will get cheaper as it is a relatively new product in the market.
-
Thing is, they only heat the area you want, not the surrounding area like with a torch.
-
Has anyone ever had any experience with these, they are relatively new and use a magnetic field to create the heat. They look good as no flames are produced making it safer, also heating a bolt red hot it seconds
They are pricey but look worth it if anyone has had any experience with these I would like to know your thoughts.
There are a few videos online if you want to take a look, just search "heat induction tool"

Bolens parts being used to build a Wheelhorse

All the best Chris, hope you had a good day
-
I will get mine sent off this weekend, do we have to do one for each exhibit?
-
Looks a very good show, more or less something of everything including a Massey Ferguson .
Hopefully the weather will stay dryer for you guys today
-
Maybe you should get a green and yellow tractor Joseph, different class to the bolens
-
I have just had a look at the manual, it is quite basic and there are no diagrams of the transmission, it only tells me a few details about the speeds and fluids.

Not sure on this, but I think it it cou;d be a colt deluxe as has electric start, not sure if that was an option for the colt.
-
Is it a colt or a colt deluxe as they would be slightly different. The colt deluxe is 10hp and has hi and low range, as compared to the colt which is only 7hp and no hi and low. I have an original manual for one with some details in, if you need pictures of that or the tractor let me know. However I have not taken one apart unlike Paul.

Could be a honey extractor, just a guess
-
-
Yes I think it is g4497 from what I can make out. And that looks like the same exact machine as mine with the yellow tape around the starting handle and missing the magneto cover.
-
It was £100 which I didn't think was to bad. I also bought the 350 for £30
-
I did actually buy the Howard gem😀
-
Great find Chris, are you going to restore it? I restored mine about a year ago, they do come up nice, it looks like yours was originally cream?
