Spending a few hours making the Husky linkage fit the Gutbrod and made it hydraulic lift. Stripped the ram, Ex forklift tilt ram , And extended the stroke.
Took quite a time to figure out the stroke position but very happy with the amount of lift .

You could fit a set of detachable forks on the blade.

4x4forks reacted to HeadExam in Depleting the Worlds Supply of Rubber
I took the 27 x 9-15 Maxxis Ceros tires on the 15-7 wheels off the Wheel Horse D-160 and put them on the Bolens 1476 in anticipation that I have another set of those same 15 x 7 rims that I may buy another set of 27 x 9-15 Maxxis tires and mount as duals on the 1476, so the wide 15 x 10 rims I got received the new 27 x 11-15 Maxxis Ceros tires and they went on the Wheel Horse D-160

4x4forks reacted to HeadExam in Tire Upgrade
The original Goodyears on the rear and the the lowest priced Carlisle replacements on the front said good bye today in favor of Kenda K500 Super Turfs. I bought the 24 x 9.50-12's instead of the 23 x 10.50-12's because I like the taller tire and the rim size only accounts of a 1/2 wider tire in the the 10.50 width, with a substantially better price, 150.00 delivered on the rears and 62.00 delivered on the front tires 16 x 6.50-8's. I took a comparison with the Bolens H16 rear tires and I think it is very hard to tell the difference in width. However, if I would not have been able to get the taller tires I might have been more hesitant about the 9.50's unless they were a lot less

4x4forks reacted to The Fife Plooman in What a difference a day makes
Hi All
What a difference a day makes. Local ploughing match very hard dry ground I could make nothing of it in fact made a mess with capital M
The brain was put in gear fitted a bracket for a 56 lbs weight fitted a Scotch skimmer from the horse day, tried it on Sunday the-9th October different field different area different result although my finish let me down I still managed first place
I was very happy with the changes that were made . little more tweaking and it will be fine
As I was saying what a difference a day makes
Hope you enjoy
