Project Horse Gut....Nigel and Ians joint project

Recommended Posts

good vidio ian

Thanks mate

Great looking machine looks as if it will have some grunt!

With the gearing and diff lock it should be able to pull anything and not get stuck :)

Well done with the vid Ian

Thanks Chris.

A bit more progress.. Nigel made a blanking plate to cover the headlamp hole in the bonnet/hood.

The fuel tank got a coat of red... A few dents add character :)

Hehe, loving it.

Great to be of service and catch up with you.

A great service it is too :D         It was good to catch up again, have to make your next visit a bit longer though... I know you was pushed for time Monday..

Love the makers company name.

Cool isn't it... Kinda rolls off the tongue as well :D

Certainly makes a difference having the decals fitted, well done chaps

Just when you thought Project Horse Gut was finished, stage 2 starts :D

Take a pair of very old steel barrow wheels with bearings and cut the center out..

HG222_zpscdjlzfrb.jpg

Once cleaned up the centers were a perfect fit for a Qwakasaki Z200 brake disc..

HG220_zpsfxhip9e3.jpg

It's a good job I had two Qwaka brake discs sitting on the shelf..

HG221_zpse3hji80s.jpg

A bit of welding later the discs were welded to a spare pair of Gutbrod wheels..

HG224_zpsi9xfinx8.jpg

The wheels look much better with a clean up and coat of paint..

HG225_zpse2mwat1y.jpg

Soon to become part of the puzzle

Nigel told us what he's been making in the shout box

Got a big mouth hasn't he :lol::yankchain:

Dual wheels ??

Nope..

That's what I'm thinking.

Another nope..

making a trailer? looks good

Correct Koen, but you don't win anything for getting it right other than the smugness of knowing James and Norm got it wrong :D

Now part of the puzzle...

HG227_zps5f3hbkpe.jpg

A bit of trimming of a large yellow object.

HG229_zpsgmt36hkj.jpg

Yep, that's right.. It's going to be a trailer.. A rather special trailer too :D

As with all these projects, some contemplation is needed, so Nigel and I put our thinking Cups on
