slf-uk 914 #7 Posted July 15, 2016 Looks great Mark, fantastic work. how do you think this compares with a side mounted sickle bar mower? Iain 1 meadowfield reacted to this
HeadExam 1,783 #8 Posted August 3, 2016 Most of the walk behinds were front mount so I see no issue with this set up. Would seem fairly efficient, even if the bar is somewhat shorter (?) than a side sickle, it would seem power and speed would equal out the difference. 2 Triumph66 and meadowfield reacted to this

Ian 2,417 #11 Posted August 6, 2016 Top work Mark, there must be a way of linking the lift arm up rather than having to have the wheels on the sickle bar.
Anglo Traction 1,016 #12 Posted August 8, 2016 (edited) I had a feeling you would be 'Out in Front' on this concept Mark . I knew I could rely on you to sort it!. I had long been wondering about the practicalities of using an old Scythe Drive/Blade as you have now done. Overcoming the Drive linkage to the 'Opposite' side and having a Lift Linkage was a problem, but looking at your results, it gets the job done. Well done. Regards.
