Stormin and 3 others reacted to pmackellow for a post in a topic
Just back from the Tractor and Smallholder show combined with the Kent Motoring Pageant, at the Hop Farm at Paddock Wood. Wendy and I took some of our Landmaster collection and were joined by Kev, Ethan and Ewan Castle with Ethans Colwood display and Kevs Jobber which has just joined his collection from ours. Darren Portsmouth and family also visited for the day, good to see them !! Here's my photos... -

Martin Markham Colt
pmackellow and 2 others reacted to harryt for a post in a topic
I have just bought another tractor to add to the fleet. It is a Martin Markham Colt tractor with the optional pto and hydraulic lift included. I have the original cultivator and plough to go with it as well. The previous owner had had it from new so is one owner! He also said he had probably done less than 50hours work which is remarkable, it has the original rear tyres and they look brand new. The only problem it has really is the hydraulic lift will not lower once it is up. i would upload pictures but I can seem to upload them. -
3 pointsNo problem Chris, happy to help. It gave the Land Rover a bit of a workout dragging it from it's resting place and the trailer winch knew it was on the end. Iain

WESTWOOD TRACTORS
Triumph66 and one other reacted to Alan for a post in a topic
Along with other bits and pieces which I am slowly clearing from friend John's land are these three Westwood's. All in poor condition but should yield some good spare parts. All engines turn by hand. Some of the many faults include broken track rod, one gearbox jammed in gear, flywheel missing, broken steering wheels etc. 2 x 8hp and 1 x 11hp. One has the early ? style gear lever and the under slung exhaust. As said, for spares unless someone fancy's a restoration project. £60 for all three. Collection from near Cranliegh, Surrey. -

Disc harrows
the showman and one other reacted to pmackellow for a post in a topic
Found a couple of suitably rustic looking crates at the Hop Farm today (actually Wendy did, well done my love), they fit the top of the discs ok and would be handy for weights, sandwiches, tea, etc etc -

1 pointI picked up another Bolens today but unfortunately I can't post any pictures ATM due to a problem with my account. Picture will follow I promise... Many thanks to Chris for flagging it to me even though he had to listen to my wife's rants. Us Bolens boys hunt as a pack and we agree who is going to go for a tractor. That way we don't end up bidding against mates. Tractor is a Bolens HT20 which only has 1400 hours. I have been after another HT for years so I am very chuffed. It had been outside for a while but I got it started and drove onto the trailer. I have no idea where I am going to store it but that is tomorrows problem. Iain

1 pointToday all the electrics wired up and working well. The only problem with this set up is you've no control over plough depth. With the tractor with plough attached on the bench. Plough going down over the end, I worked out it was going in about 7 - 8 inches. So a think was in order. The clevis that attaches actuator ram to hitch is about 3 - 4 inch long. So I thought i'd drill some more holes to give a selection of positions on the hitch. The end hole, from the right side of photo', is the original, giving 7 - 8 inch depth. I don't think I'll ever be ploughing that deep. 2nd from end gives about 6" depth. That's about right. 3rd hole gives 5" and I don't think the last hole will ever be used. Not for ploughing anyway. All that's left now is to try things out.
