3 pointsAm now at the point where I can't really do much more for the time being....... Parts are at the shot blasters and gearbox ready for new bushes once machined...... So todays little job was to cut some metal away from the spacer plate, to allow both the air shroud and the back plate for the chain drive some clearance space....... Once cut I gave it a coat of paint........

Wheel Horse RJ-58
Stormin and 2 others reacted to Cub Cadet for a post in a topic
Wooo I have an engine So after some research I have discovered that the model B1260 (above) and the model B1290 (correct one for the RJ) are exactly the same engine, the only difference is that the 1260 had a reduction box added from factory, hopefully after a rebuild it should bolt straight in . -
2 pointsA bit more progress today. Heres the bonnet with its 3rd (and hopefully last ) skim of filler. I also managed to get the fuel tank stripped as it finally stopped raining for about 3 hours, plus I gave the fan housing a rub down and spray with etch primmer.

Set of Comet tools
pmackellow reacted to Wallfish for a post in a topic
Joe posted a display pic of the 4 Comet Tote'N Tools a while back so I put mine together for a similar pic. The drill is the same but tagged as Drillgine instead of Tote'N Tools. I've been debating on whether or not to cut a coil cover to fit the chainsaw. Maybe when it's painted I'll decide. -

NOS O&R Air Compressor
pmackellow reacted to usedtoolman for a post in a topic
The air compressor is one of the harder to find O&R tools. This one has never been run. I snaged it about a year ago. Came with all the paper work but unfortunately the box was gone. -
1 pointAndrew, the big difference is the back axle. A HT20 has a single range Sundstrand and a HT23 a two range Eaton. I was chatting to Chris about this the other day because I wondered what axle he had in his 1886. If I remember correctly the 1886 has the same Sundstrand as the HT20 but my 1477 has an earlier Eaton. Hope that makes sense Iain
-
1 pointJust been looking at your HT20 again Iain. Is there any significant differences between the HT20 and Ht23 apart from the horse power?

1 pointThe pallets we get weight 20-25kg each. I weighed some a while back to make sure I was within the weight limit if I had a hundred on the Ifor. These days they get cut up rather than moved. So, if you count how many blocks you can see on the trailer, divide by 3 and multiply by 20-25kg that will give the answer. OMG, just realised I have gone all metric Iain

1 pointThanks Andrew, i'm itching to get back from uni and having a tinker, can't wait to restore her to its former glory.

1 pointFabulous photo! i wonder what that trailer load weighs?

1 pointThe tanks come up well. Certainley better than when I posted it to you.

1 pointGood photo Iain. As Joseph looks like a Cossack with that hat and boots, he should be riding a horse. Wheel horse of course. Think I might know the location of a bigger trailer.

When Is it time for a sort out?
Triumph66 reacted to expeatfarmer for a post in a topic
Recently I have had a number of collector friends ( older than me ) that have been taken ill making them unable to carry on with their hobby and incapable of disposing of their collections. This has then fallen to friends or family who may not be fully familiar with what they are dealing with. I also find that despite acres of space I am forever having to move things around that I have not touched since the last time I had to move them for another reason. I then started thinking about all the things I have collected over the years that just sit in cupboards and never see daylight from one year to the next. I have therefore decided to have a clear out and have found it an ideal pastime on cold wet days to sort bits out and put them up for auction, by doing it now it is almost fun but I can see that if I was doing it because I had to for some reason it would be a painful chore. I had some builders here this week and decided to offer them various builders tools I had not used for at least four years, there were seven of them and before they left I had cleared £1000 and cleared half of one of my sheds. !!!!! -

Farmer's Boy Light Tractor and Attachments
pmackellow reacted to Darmic1 for a post in a topic
There were a couple of small dents which I have filled and then etch primed the tank. Its been bush painted with the same enamel used on the rest of this machine. However as enamels are not fuel resistant, I have a 1k clear spray can which is fuel resistant that I am going to use, once the tank is completely dry and cured. -

Project Budget Sachs Diesel Howard Gem.
pmackellow reacted to S1g for a post in a topic
Had a bit of luck today, whilst rummaging through my one shed for some car shampoo, I came across 6 brand new blades for a gem that I didn't even know was in there. Hopefully with what ive got at my work I should now be able to make a complete new set for no money. Should help offset the cost of having the injector done. -

O&R Pumps
CNew reacted to usedtoolman for a post in a topic
Here are six different O&R pumps. I don't know how many different ones were produced though I have seen at least 2 more. The blue one has no nameplate. Going clockwise from there they are a Keene Engineering, a Cenatron, a Kenco, a Comet and an ElectroFlow. I never cease to be amazed by how many different companies used these little engines. -

My O&R Display
pmackellow reacted to usedtoolman for a post in a topic
The attached picture shows my O&R display at one of the local shows the summer before last. I have added a number of units since then and will be posting some of the more interesting ones in the coming weeks. I am a returning member. I was on the old Forum but am just returning after getting locked out when the forum moved last year. -

Courtesy of Enginesilo I don't know what would be more annoying...the bugs...or this thing running in the background Take a look at this ad from way back when (1970). The shipping costs are a good laugh. -
1 pointThis strange saw uses a blade with teeth on it which are like a chainsaw. Cuts about a 3/4 inch size dado joint into lumber and is believed to be used for lumber framing. 2 passes will make a groove to fit a 2 x 4 standard US stud

Chip a Saw
pmackellow reacted to Wallfish for a post in a topic
Coutesy of Wildford Here is my O&R chip a saw. Run's very well. Should have a red starter with kill switch but is under repair at the moment I believe Wildford is located in Australia. This saw resembles the US version of the Bunyon saw posted by Webhead. We do see the same items branded under different names quite often, some are exact copies and some have slight differences
