    C-125 Rebuild.

Got the wiring done today. Found a couple of dodgy connections but everything works ok. Put a battery on, some petrol in and with a bit of persuading it started up. Played about adjusting the carb and got it running something like. Had to take the fuel pump off as it had a bit of a leak. Re-sealed it and that's sorted. Had a spare spring I couldn't think where it belonged. Turned out it was off the P.T.O. lever. So that's back on where it belongs. At one point I knelt on the floor and something stuck me in the knee. Turned out to be a front wheel nut. Silly me hadn't tightened them up. They're tight now and the rear ones checked. They were ok. The leak from the sump is barely discernible. No drips. Should be fine till I source a replacement pan. So nearly there.

In their day those diesel Westwoods were not exactly a “happy” machine. Rather typical of a diesel lump being dropped into a petrol chassis. Later on Countax had the same issue putting the Yanmar lump into the A20/50. Westwoods suffered bad vibration, broken fuel pipes and chafed wiring and then , Fire! If one saw a burnt out Westwood it was invariably a diesel!

i will have to answer this one as tractor boy is now asleep dreaming of tractors. The Westwood has a Lombardini 6LD 360 engine, which is 6.4hp and 360cc Iain

I am also looking forward to the Westwood D1200 as well. It was the first tractor I ever drove. Here is a much younger me on the tractor, and tractor looked a lot better then (yes we do have two of them).
