  1. Pulled down three of the kingspan foil backed boards to runs some wires a few days ago. Can you tell which ones?
  2. Yes, just jump straight to starter, if it spins then it's a duff solenoid. I've replaced two in the last year as they don't last!
  3. Happy new year from the dales, hope you all have a good one
  4. Hey Andy, welcome to mom. Does the solenoid click when you turn the key? Does the starter turn?
  5. I've heard of a nice short frame that would fit nicely... No messin'
  6. Oddly, I've only ever had to drill one out... But I do have two C-121 and a commando with seized pins in
  7. Agree with your thoughts and it is lack of maintenance. Age is irrelevant, it needed lubrication.... There's no excuse for two close tolerance moving metal parts to not be oiled or greased. A grease zerk/nipple is an oversight as all big tractors and even wheel horse include one. There's just no way you could get any oil in there to help, so after 50 years it as rusted in solid. Unlike the steering spindles which came straight out - oddly they had grease points! We have never struggled removing a pin on a wheel horse. There's a lot of posts on the IH forums on drilling the pins out and you can buy the full replacement kit. It will end up with a grease point, it's just not worth the pain.
  8. Nice work, that'll be a fab bench
  9. Loving the low loader, had plans for one of those for ages
  10. Don't be fooled by the pictures, the patina you see is a mix of the original paint, a layer of red oxide and some JCB yellow slapped over the top. In between and underneath there is a huge amount of rust. We will end up doing a lot of cutting and welding new pieces in. It's just taken 4 hours to remove the seized axle pin. Pretty well everything is in a state! I think Ewan will be posting an update later...
  11. Nice machine my boss has a 674 just a year older.
  12. Alan has confirmed he will be sending forms out direct to last years entrants in the next month.

  14. I think we paid around £800 for it, which was a lot. But it's all original with three point and road registered. Ewan just had to have it, no Idea where he gets these whims from....
  15. It's currently 'off road' We dreamt of a place n the Yorkshire dales for 25 years.... It's a lovely area It's not my restore, it's Ewan's... Watch this space
  16. The title says it all, Ewan has spent half the summer on his cub. We've not got much footage, a bit of a play on a rainy Boxing Day seemed like a good idea. Until he conked out The little cub was towed back to the shop and Ewan will no doubt be doing a restore thread
