Vids been blocked due to "insecure encryption protocol", whatever that is.
Belay that. Working now.
-
How many trannies are you rebuilding, Chris? Looks enough parts for 4 there.
-
That's just the job, Chris. It was the pivot the cable attaches to that I needed to see. I really must take more photo's, BEFORE I take things apart.
-
-
That's another option for you Iain.
-
Thanks Richard. I was thinking the cable clip was horizontal, not angled.
Chris. That looks a different set up.
-
I think I've worked it out now Mark. But to be on the safe side a good pic' would be welcome. I can't set it up anyway, 'till I get the fan guard done and on.
-
A little more progress this afternoon. Carb and air filter fitted. Seat fitted. Drive belt back on. Starter motor fitted. Inside of belt guard and inside opposite side cover painted.
Some of the throttle linkage connected. Here I've hit a snag. How the cable connects is not clear on my photo's. Or in the manual print out I have and though the same engine as the C-125, the linkage is not the same.
Anyway, here's some photo's.

Had a ridge tile come off when I lived near Garstang. Landed on my Morris Travellers roof, then onto my A60 vans bonnet, stopping just short of the windscreen.
Good idea with the port BTW.
-
-
Wait till the carb and air filter are on.
-
You are having fun. You know that they say. "Where there's a will, there's relatives a way."
-
They'll not mate you know.
-
Managed to get a bit more done today. Kind of commuted 'tween workshop and house. Prep a part, prime and into the house to dry. Back out to repeat and so on..
Got the carb cleaned up and painted. Ready to fit. Did think about polishing it, then sanity returned.
Air filter back plate painted and ready to fit.
Seat to fender parts all finished ready to fit.
Starter motor painted and ready to fit.
Belt guard and opposite side panel cleaned up and insides primed.
Considering the diabolical weather here, Freezing gale force wind, sun, rain and sleet taking turns about, I'm rather pleased with my efforts.
P.S. Ok! Photo's tomorrow. Maybe!
-
I like that. Methinks your going to have to do a bit more garage building.
-
I did wonder what was at the back. How many Ransomes is that now, Johnathan? Not counting the lawn mowers.
-
Is that half of one on the right? Pointing skywards.
-
I took the bearing seals out to allow oil to get to the needle roller. Just wish I'd had the idea then.
-
Been having a think, Chris. Could some kind of baffle be fitted behind the roller bearing, to stop needles going into the bearing if the needle roller fails? It would have to have very small holes in to allow oil through, but not big enough for needles to pass through.
-
You've your work cut out there, Johnathan. If you want a hand now and then, give me a shout.
-
The fan guard is silver, so I thought I'd better balance it out. Pleased you approve.
-
Managed to get off your sick bed to collect them then?
-
-
For magneto ignition only. Not battery ignition.
-
I'm planning to have a run up to one of your rallies this year. Just as a visitor though. Think you'll get this side of the border, George? Be good to see some of you Scots at the Hethersgill rally at Carlisle airport. May 3rd.
