There'll be a few of us at Newby. Including some of the dubious southerners. Mark, (meadowfield) goes to the Bronte rally. He'll fill you in on that. Myself over this side, will be at the Hethersgill Vintage rally at Carlisle airport and Silloth Vintage rally.
-
Mate of mine had a Rascal, then he got a Transit. Reckoned the Transit was cheaper to run.
-
A few more bits painted or in the process of, today. Some photo's for The Showman's delectation.
Dash and ammeter panel fitted. Finger marks will be removed.
Fender cleaned up.
Underneath of fender with two coats of red oxide and drying in the sun.
-
-
First photo a lot of straw showing and some not very straight furrows.
Second one rather flat.
So it's the third photo for me.

'Ow do, Rob. Not doubt you'll get plenty of help and advice rom the Bolens boys.
-
I'll guess it's out of the engine. And a really wild guess, valve head.
-
Thought you could count to 21?
-
Google rechrome services, Sam.
-
Sorry I don't Sam. You could ask at a jewellers if they know. Seems your not far from me. I'm just outside Silloth
-
Where abouts in Cumbria are you, Sam. Introduce yourself in introductions.
-
Looks a tidy machine, Sam. What age is it?
-
That's where I'll be getting my tyres from.
-
I'd take photo's, Chris. Honest! But things are a bit cramped and I can only get to one side of it.
-
A little more progress today. Seat/fender support painted yesterday and now fitted along with fuel tank. The afore mentioned panels are also finished after stripping, skim filling and repainting. Started cleaning up some other bits ready for painting. One foot plate out of e-tank and the other in.
I did have a mishap with the ammeter, but I think I can repair it.
-
That looks so right, Ian.
-
It'll be the quad that pushes it up, Mark. Far to many go walkies.
-
It's a woodpecker, Chris.
-
My renewal has just come from them as well, for the C-125. £52. Going to have to add on the C-81.
-
For the Showman. Make a change from starlings and seagulls.
-
Only thing I'd do, besides cutting the gear lever gate, would be to trim the bottom out side edges at the front. Just at an angle to remove the sharp corner.
-
Boards like that shouldn't take much making.
-
I'll keep a look out up here, Paul.
