Everything's taxed over here. Even my pension. It's import duty + vat we have to pay. I don't know anything about importing stuff, but there are those on here who have done. What kind of price are they over there?
  2. Where I am, on the Solway Plain, the ground is always damp. Unless it's water logged.
  3. How could you think such a thing. But now you mention it......................
  4. Those are well turned furrows, George. Apart from the start very little grass showing.

    C-120 refurb.

I was not happy with the first coat of gloss on the fender. So today I rubbed it down with wet and dry and applied another coat. Still not happy. Going to leave it till the weather gets warmer and concentrate on smaller things. Maybe have a tidy up, make some room and start on the engine.

    That's three of us.
  8. Wide open spaces. Beats a cut down mini or moggie 1000.
  9. You are having fun, Koen. The proper name for the piston pin as you called it, is gudgeon pin.

I got a second coat of primer on the fender and underneath of foot plates late yesterday. This afternoon, though not the best of days for painting, (rather cold), gave them a first top coat. I'm using Tor tractor enamel, applied with a foam radiator roller. Apologies for poor photo quality. First two without flash. Third with flash. When dry the fender will get a light rub down before second coat. To be honest, I'm wondering what possessed me to use black. It don't half show up imperfections.
  11. Look up Johnathan. Tall chap with pipe. Very nice man.
  12. Doing a nice job there. I'll swap you the amount of painting.
  13. I'm not but Johathan Cox, (expeatfarmer), will be there with his Ransomes.
  14. What would we do without them.

I will. It's deciding on the design and colours. And thanks lads for the encouraging words.
  16. Well done. Sounds sweet. But why did you keep looking over your shoulders.

A bit more this morning. First coat on underside of fender. Not the best of photo's. Foot plates cleaned up this morning then underneath primed with red oxide. And a bit of bling..
  18. Looking nice, George. We've a match a week on Sunday, just outside Carlisle. No horticultural machines though, mores the pity. One day maybe.
