Very interesting. I understood the very in depth, clear and thorough explanation of the workings of this marvellous invention.
-
It is Ewan, but not for the tractor. For the towing vehicle that towed it to it's new home.
-
That looks in very good condition. Get the steering box sorted, a wipe with an oily rag and it'll be ready to show.
Hope to see it at Biddenden in August.
-
I've fitted those primer bulbs to my C-125 Work Horse and to the C-121 Black Horse. Saves a lot of cranking. I intend to also fit them to the C-81 and Sears/Roper.
-
I wonder what that was modified for?
-
One of my thoughts as well, Chris. But I don't think they'll stick out further than the tyres. We'll see.
-
Got some more lead the other week. Eldest-son-in-law said he'd got some from when he's had roof repairs done. I only wanted about 50lb but came back with 400lb.
So up to the farm today, fired up the oxy/acet and topped up the weights. Guess work how much lead to add, more by good luck than judgement, the weights have ended up the same. 56lb.
To tidy things up I found a couple of plastic bucket lids to replace the existing ones. Eight self drilling/tapping roofing screws and things looked better.
Quick spray of primer.
They'll get another coat and a couple of top coats before I refit them.
-
Superb job, Ewan. I know where to go if I need any painting done.
-
Surprised Thomas Grahams didn't have any. Must be an odd size.
Sorry to hear about your arm. You never mentioned it when I came to see you. Or is it since then?
Hope you'll be ok for the Edinburgh show.
-
I would say it looks more than pretty decent, Ewan.
-
Your family will have christened you Dusty by the time you'd got that done.
-
As Angus says, straightening it would be dodgy. Besides what he has said, is it possible the get the split welded and then the plate skimmed flat?
-
My entries posted today. C-81, Black Horse and Sears/Roper. Also Teagle Jet Cut Hedge Trimmer.
-
Think I'll stick with Staub Lunic. I can pronounce that.
-
I wonder if it was built under licence and another name? The wheels look the same as a Staub Lunic.
-
Just over the Border, Harry.
-
Neil's right. It's a Staub Lunic.
-
Could be they were change to replace a solid axle now you mention it, Chris.
-
The suspension looks like Indespension units. Are the wheels the same as mini ones? I may be wrong but it looks home made to me. The units look welded on, not bolted as I would expect from a manufacturer.
-
The Turf Truck would be handy. I also like the 3-Wheeler.
-
That looks tidy. What is it?
-
I'm not sure about that, Alan. One will take up a lot of his workshop space.
-
I'd find that a hard decision to make due to its rarity. Bit big for Chris's lawn, but great for the green and verges I mow.
Bet it will sup the juice though.
-
Some people have nothing better to do. But I suppose it's better than working for a living.
-
I don't know anything about these engines, but the idle screw as you call it, is it not a throttle setting screw. To set the speed of the fan?
