    Welcome and here are some photos of my Hayterette that I bought earlier this year. I replaced the exhaust as well as carrying out a service replacing the plug, filter and oil. Quality machines.

    Alain, I believe Howard produced implements such as rotavators and apparently he saw an opportunity to import quality machinery from the States such as the Bolens. One of the photos shows a very similar decal to the Howard Bolens decals which was essentially slapped onto the bonnet.

    There's a pedestrian section on GTT pertaining to antique American implements. Sure someone there will quickly recognise it. Let us know what it is please once you got a postitive identification.

    Just gone through your post on GTT and there are several 853 owners who posted on your thread. Might be worth messaging them?
