slf-uk got a reaction from nigel in THE CONFUSION IS OVER.
I feel the need to wade in on this one
I see Chris appears to have a problem with his left hand on both pictures. It is either lovely attached to the Bolens or maybe he is trying to hide something.
I have the twin to John's tractor and I think they may have been separated at birth and are longing to be reunited. They have both been painted to look like Wheelhorses and both have been robbed of some of the manly Bolens features such as the PTO.
Here is a couple of pictures of it's twin which clearly shows it a Bolens
Looking at the front in detail it clearly shows the Bolens features. Er. hang on a minute

slf-uk got a reaction from Will-Haggle in BOLENS STASH UPDATE
A mate brought around a truck load of goodies for me on Friday, which includes some good wood, steel, and some metal cupboards and shelving. I am in so much trouble with the boss and I had to listen to my list of my crimes this morning. This included not cutting the grass last weekend, putting the Bolens stash in the garden and now filling the drive with what has been described as rubbish (or words to that effect).
Apparently if I was single everywhere would be littered with this sort of stuff. She does make being single sounds very attractive I foreseen a weekend of grass cutting and moving things about. I am going to try to compress that into today so I can start to check out the stash tomorrow.

slf-uk got a reaction from the showman in BOLENS STASH UPDATE
It was another good adventure and great to see Alan and John again. I really enjoyed meeting Mr Showman and talking to him about his projects.
This was trip number five to see Alan and John and I have already starting thinking about the next time...
On the way home the boss phoned to ask what I had got for them. I told her that I had got a trailer each for the kids and a plant pot lifter for her. She was a little surprised to see that the plant pot lifter looked a bit like a small engine crane
I was not permitted food or drink after 10pm last night due to some boring medical stuff today, so it was a bonus to get home a 9.45 so I could down a beer before the deadline.
Thanks guys

It's not RED and it's not a SPRINTER, but still big enough for Iain and Malcolm to return to Norfolk with another load of goodie's.
Although he tried to resist ( but not very hard ) Iain hoped he wouldn't get into too much trouble with his boss when she saw his latest load.
He also spotted more useful junk, I mean more useful project material, which means another return trip when the boss cools off.
Malcolm had more self control and only went home with the Atlas Shaper, his reason for the visit. Well, OK. A few more bits too.
Thanks to both, and Mr Showman too, for helping to dump lots more scrap into the skip. A big help to John and I.

slf-uk got a reaction from Triumph66 in Ultrasonic cleaner
I bought a ultrasonic cleaner a while back but not had the chance to use it until today. I used it on the troublesome Bolens G14 carb, first with caustic acid as suggested by Norm and then with a general cleaner to remove any traces of the acid. It came out looking great but I have not had the chance to reassemble and test the carb yet.
Picture of the cleaner I bought sitting on the Hood of a rather rusty Bolens G10. My Bolens are just like our cats, they get into every picture

slf-uk got a reaction from Triumph66 in Another mule gone lame.
It took me a while to work out what you were referring too as I most of my tractors have a proper PTO to drive the attachments
It is very interesting that some of the pulleys were pressed steel and others cast. I will have to check out my WH mule drives to see which version they are, might even have a spare one. I have a mule drive for one of my D series but no attachments to use it with It will be interesting to see what type of pulleys are used on that.

I've made an adapter thingy to power the air horns from one of the rear tyres...
Be better if you made an adapter to plug into the drivers rear end. The faster "Why Not" went, the louder the air horns.
The downside is that the pipework would need clearing of liquid manure after every run. Worth a thought though.

Went out early this morning and when I got home look what awaited me.
So the afternoon was well spent. The result being this.
I'll get ATS in Wigton to fit the rears on Monday.

Great job and it really looks the part on the back of the tractor A drop of red paint and it will look like a factory attachment.

Done a bit of fabricating on the dethatcher today, now it fits the slot hitch on the Rowcrop and is useable, here's some pictures for you to look at

How are you planning to fit the dukes of hazard air horns now you have removed the horn circuit?

Latest attachment to find is a Sisis dethatcher and scarifier, just needs the usual brackets welded on to make it Wheelhorse friendly

Thanks Mark, I'm not sure what's going to happen with the dash. I may change it at a later date for something more Wheel Horsey.. We shall see.
Thanks Iain
Don't worry Max the raw steel look will be staying for now..
Today I managed to get the ignition barrel fitted..
Space is getting a bit tight in there!
Marking out the correct place to drill a hole through the panel for the ignition barrel was interesting to say the least, but I'm happy with how it turned out. The barrel is flush with the panel.. While I was drilling holes in that area I also fitted the choke control.
And now onto a part of the build I was dreading... Sorting out the electrics!!!
I forgot to take a photo of the wiring loom before I started but once all the old insulation tape was removed (a horrible sticky job!) I worked out which bit's of the loom I needed and which could go..
This is the removed pile, basically all the lighting, brake lights, indicator, and horn circuits..
The loom draped over so I could work out what has to go to where..
Starting to look a bit better, well tidier at least If all goes to plan I hope to have the wiring done and the engine fired back up tomorrow.. Fingers crossed I didn't cut any wires I shouldn't have
And for your viewing pleasure here's the latest WN video... It's a bit of a long one so best get a drink ready beforehand

I better come and collect that red Bolens if you can manage with a less capable tractor
Nice extraction, those shapers are not light
