i once got a mower in with one of those on, atco balmoral 17s i think it was, carb couldn't be dialled in. ended up drilliing out the jet and resoldering the hole with a sewing needle. ran fine after that

as for the pull start, just wind it up till it fits again with the rope pulley thing, wind it up the way it would go when pulling the rope. once there is some good tension clap it down so the holes for the rope to go through line up and put the rope through. tie a knot in it so it wont go out the pulley and release the clamp, it should wind up the rope as far as it's needed. pull out the rope a bit, put the handle on and you're good to go. make sure you have enough rope because its very anoying to see the end of the rope dissapear in the pullstarter and having to start over again

i get them calls every once in a while, think it was last week i got a couple of them on one day, recognise the number and pick up and hung up imidiatly. now they started calling with a different number i usually ask them if they have a cactus nearby to stuff up where the sun don't shine

depends how much amps you blast through, you could use a car battery charger and wait around longer. or use a dc stick welder and blast lots of amps through and wait and hour or two

fastest thing you can do to get more power out of that engine is removing it and put a bigger engine in place instead. offcourse you can rule out the governer and risk over revving it till the build in rev limiter kicks a hole in the engine.

usually scuffing up the paint is enought to get the paint to stick, might not be as proper as doing it from bare metal but it will work
