  1. Thanks Tom, your being a great help No we have not checked the pressure relief valve yet, it's on the list to check now.. The arms stay solid no mater what position the lever is in..
  2. Hi Tom.. Where would we find the hydraulic oil filter screen? and how would we check if the pump is working? Yes both Nigel and I are a bit new to this kubota lark
  3. Now that looks like a very handy machine to have, it looks the part as well
  4. Hi Tom, yes it is fully screwed out..
  5. Aaww.. Don't cry Chris Hi Andrew, I have started recording life at the new shack, maybe a video about it at the end of the week.. Nope the music is not Metallica, it's called "Slow night at the saloon" found here.. http://teknoaxe.com/Home.php Yeah it is a bit sad Mark, but long term more than worth it.. Very true Paul, better than it being scrapped... The buyer is going to send me some photo's when he get's it put back together, though something tells me it won't be going up in quite the same way it came apart.. Thanks Iain More progress today in the workshop.. Some tools and decoration up.. The shelves will be moved to somewhere a little easier to reach, low bench for the blasting cabinet which put's it at a nice height to use, and some more decoration up.. Lot's more shelves filled up with random stuff and Wheel Horse parts.. And finally some more decoration.. It just needs a plug putting on to make it light up... A big thank you to Ben for this.. Cheers mate

    Landrover V8 Engine

Sold in 20 min's!!! Very nice
  7. Sorry to read that you traveled all that way for nowt Charlie... You did do the right thing by walking away... I'm sure a much better example will turn up for you
  8. That's very cool Max, I can't wait to see what you come up with for the rest of the bodywork
  9. I have to say that this is a very nice machine.. If a little ugly at the front.. The engine sounds good, with no exhaust it sounds great If anyone has any ideas on the 3 point hydraulics it would be good to hear.. As Nigel mentioned above the lifting arm are stuck in the up position. You can move them a very little up and down but you can hear a "metal clonking" sort of sound.. A stuck valve somewhere perhaps?
  10. Thanks Iain, yes it's certainly been an interesting story.. and a very busy story!! Too right Nigel and I will be having lot's of fun.. we have been already A bit of a sad video for you guy's and girls..
  11. Nice fender work mate I'm glad those off cuts came in handy

    Landrover V8 Engine

Just out of interest (checks over shoulder to check the missus isn't looking), how much for the engine, box and all the gubbins to make the engine run?
  13. The log store looks good Chris
  14. That video so much reminds me of my old flail.. Only the belt tensioner is different!
  15. Now that's a thought Hi Norm, nope no good views here, surrounded by houses!! But it is a lot quieter down here than I thought it would be.. Almost got used to the sound of traffic now I managed to get a few hours in at the workshop today, putting tins of bits on shelves, trying to find homes for all my junk... I did manage to get my big bench cleared and re-skinned with a much thicker top

    Landrover V8 Engine

I think Nigel just want to get it before I think about stuffing the engine in something red
  17. Hopefully next week mate Thanks Iain, the house move is nearly there now. We should get this place straight by the end of the weekend.. Thanks Doug.. The armchair is very much needed though.. When I'm shattered and had enough I can't just walk across the garden to the house now, so I need the armchair to relax in while waiting for my wife to pick me up in the evenings.. And then it was gone!!!
  18. I really should stop using WD40 as deodorant Just a few quick photo's to show you all things have been happening in the new shack.. The most important photo being this one And a luxury item in the shack Bench with lathe up.. Somewhere under all this clutter is a very big bench! Project "Why Not" up on it's bench.. And Nigel doing his Mr Universe impression
  19. No stopping you now James, you are going for "one of each" aren't you
  20. That's a nice find Ben.. Judging from the 1st photo it also makes a good carpet edger Is this machine getting the full resto treatment or just cleaned up a bit to keep the aged look?
  21. I like your thinking Chris, why dig the stump out when you have a Wh or two, or three or four
  22. Yesterday was a nice day weather wise and the shack floor had never looked so clean!! As the first floor board came up I was wondering how many rabbit holes I would find as they do like the garden here and are/were always running under the shack! As it turned out there was only slight bunny digging in one corner, but no holes. I did have one very unexpected find though.. I found Limpy... Or what was left of him/her! Limpy was a young fox cub that could be seen pottering about the place last year.. As you will of guessed Limpy had a limp hence the name.. At one point he/she wasn't look too well but the last couple of times I saw him/her, he/she was looking much better with a nice coat of fur at last.. I guess he/she wasn't doing too well as I found the remains yesterday! Anyway, the shack is all down now, the base frame has been split into manageable size chunks that will fit on a big trailer with no problems.. And all being well it should all be taken away tomorrow which is also house moving day!! Should be fun
  23. The same here, it will be interesting to see how it looks fresh from blasting.. Ben and I were talking about me having Why Not's engine vapor blasted, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks.
