Sounds good Norm, all that work and typing and no photo
-
I know the gound between the barns on the main entrance was under water on Thursday and once you pull the plug on a show there's no going back
-
That's great work James, next year when i come up to Newby hall I'd like to go back with you for a week and learn some fabricating and about hydraulics
-
Good photos, looks like you had a good day, see a few people in the photos that are normally at Kingsfold
-
Top job, looks really nice
-
No wander your knackered by the end of the day mate, looks a big job your doing, going to look much better when you've done
-
Good progress Nigel, you'll have it painted soon
-
It belongs to Steve who lives along the road, he has some nice engines to drive it, I took you round to see him when you was down Norm
-
-
Core, rear wheel weights too
-
That looks a good haul Mark. I think you need a bigger trailer
-
A friend of mine bought a Lister water pump from Johns place a few weeks ago and since then its had new bearings , springs and gaskets.
He came round today and wanted a water tank and some pipes made up. Over the last few weeks I've been playing with a chicken plucking machine and i had a spare tank which is from a drinks vending machine made of stainless steel ( also from Johns). Out came the box of pipe fittings and pipe threading tool, with the help of the power hacksaw ( also from Johns ) we fabricated it all together. Here's a couple of photos, hope you like

Kingsfold cancelled, disappointed
-
Is it the same as a 10 hp Joe ?
-
We all go to a lot of trouble and expense to do these shows, i run the Horticultural section at this show and spend 4 days there as well as taking extra tea and coffee.
We're all disappointed after all the preparation to get ready but we can't odds the weather, i think we've been lucky this year I've done about 20 shows this year and this is the first one that's been cancelled completely. We've had rain at 2 or 3 but only had to be towed out once which i think is good going considering our climate
-
Due to the rain this week and the poor ground conditions it's been decided to cancel the show this weekend.
A really good rally and a great shame but we can't change the weather
-
Happy birthday mate, have a good one
-
-
That's a nice find Andrew, gonna look good when's she's up and running
-
I'm ok with this now, spent a couple of days fiddling with the mag, cleaning and changing the points. Refitted and kept moving the spocket round and finally it started, had it running for an hour and it seems ok
-
The mag is chain driven and the sprocket is on a tapered shaft, I'll just have to keep moving it round and see what happens. Now i know why they call them hit and miss engines
-
Last show of the year coming up, Kingsfold

Last show of the year coming up, Kingsfold í ½í¸€
-
I did have it running with another mag on it but now it won't start although it still has a spark and fuel,
Wondered if the timing has slipped but i can't find any marks to check it
-
I have a Stuart Turner 1 hp 2 stroke water cooled, i think it's 1933.
Does anyone know how to set the mag timing up and can it be 180 out.
Cant seem to find any timing marks on it ?
