Just to let you good folk know on here, Chris Sutton rang me this afternoon, he has had a stroke and a bleed on the brain and is in intensive care in Brighton Hospital.

Not good news, I have known Chris quite a few years and he is a good mate, please join me in wishing him all the best for a speedy recovery

Thanks

Paul

Just got off the phone to Chris...

He is waiting to be transferred to a speicalised Stroke Unit at Haywards Heath hospital, hopefully in the next few days

He's missing his own bed and very bored !!

All the best Mr Showman

Update on The Showman

He has now been moved to Haywards Heath hospital which has a specialised stroke unit

Unfortunately he now has covid as well !  :(

The good news is his left side which at the time of the stroke was not working at all is coming back, Chris can lift his left leg and arm and can clench his left hand into a fist

Keep fighting mate we are all with you !

Spoke to Chris this afternoon. Sounds in good spirits. He's had speech therapy and is talking better. Still got that strange southern accent though. He can now bend his left arm more and tough his face. Starts physio' tomorrow. Long way to go though but he's in the best of places at Heywood Heath.

His friend Steve drives Pam to see him and his son Steve calls in to see her after work. So both are being looked after.

Phoned him on Thursday.   Said he was being well looked after.   Good food and plenty of tea.  Looking forward to getting home though.
