Newby Hall tractorfest 2014
norlett reacted to meadowfield for a post in a topic
This year we are looking to hold the UK wheel horse meet at Newby Hall near Ripon. It's not exclusive to any particular tractor, so we would love to have anyone come join us in Yorkshire early June. It's a great site and event, very laid back and every year almost a thousand entries of all shapes sizes. There's already quite a few of us meeting up there, so it would be good to drum up more interest Mark -

Whats the worst car you ever owned
neil reacted to pmackellow for a post in a topic
To be fair to the old blue oval I have had three Focus, a 1.6 hatch which was a bit of a dog, a 2 litre hatch which was superb, only bettered by the 2 litre estate I had for 8 years before trading it in last year for the Duster.. My dad was in the Ford world in the motor trade for many years so I think some of his influence rubbed off, until now I have only ever owned Ford or Vauxhall cars and they never let me down, luck of the draw I suppose... -

1 pointThe worst car I've ever owned is my 2008 ford focus. Build quality is awful, parts are very expensive as apparently to have a 1.8 in it is rare compared to the 1.6, fuel consumption is awfull early 30's for a diesel. The dashboard clocks have a mind of there own, rust allready starting,th bonnet is a nightmare to open (two person job),the windows don't work for the first 2minutes of driving and to top it all the flywheel has gone. This is my first and very last ford ever! Give me my Astra van any day.

1 pointThank you Mark , I bought these tractors really with money that i didnt have but like i said there was now way that i was going to miss an opportunity to lose out on some wonderful machines . I must confess that in buying these tractors has somewhat got me into a few issues to say the least but i feel it was worth it , ( my good lady wouldnt agree with me though, she wanted a new Kitchen LOL) The way that i think can some times be a bit reckless but i have allways lived by the seat of my pants & payed the consequences later but i know i have worked hard in my life & every now & then i just have to do something indulge in something that i am passionate about I could have bought myself a new van after my last one caught fire last year but i wanted to get the senior so i spend the funds that was set aside for a new van & i bought the tractor instead .
