I went on a journey to Oxfordshire on Friday to collect my latest purchase . Had to drive like a bat out of hell to get back sharpish so that , er in doors , didn't see another tractor arrive at the ranch. The guy that I bought this from also had an awesome collection of Wheelhorse tractors including a suburban 401 , lawn ranger, and many c series tractors along with some awesome implements. Luckily I sneaked the latest member of the Heard into the barn with minutes to spare

    Colchester student lathe

Hi all, I'm sure many of you saw I have acquired a new lathe from Alan and John. I didn't intend on buying a lathe from them but after seeing it there and some light persuasion from Iain I agreed a price with Alan and John and brought it home. After some fiddling with the wiring I got the motor working. Both gearboxes were quite low with oil so I filled them up and the gearboxes sound much nicer now. I am very happy with it and it has already proved useful as my dad needed a pulley bored out and it did it no problem. John had soaked it in grease to prevent it from rusting which has kept it very well, although it has been a pain cleaning it up! This picture was of it at Johns: Back in it's new home: After a good clean up and I put some carpet in the storage area to tidy it up: Tom

    4 Wheel trailer

I'm a bit stumped now, i was going to restore it and lower it to carry the Trachorse make like a low loader type 4 wheeler now I'm thinking to leave it as is. The only problem is where I live here on the coast it will deteriorate quick as there's very little paint on it

    4 Wheel trailer

I can picture that trailer, all painted up and full of plant pots with a vast array of flowers. I'm sure Pam would agree.

Found this yesterday with the other stuff and forgot it was in the van. Told Pam it would be handy if she ever decided to grow potatoes

    Wheel horse 42" sickle bar

Hi, I am unfortunately looking to sell my wheel horse 42" sickle bar, from what I understand it is a SMS-425. It is all free although it would benefit from a good oil up. The gearbox seems very good and it's all tight. You don't see these very often and they are quite a cool attachment in my opinion. The mule drive is missing but I have seen dimensions and plans on Redsquare to make them or they do appear on that well know auction site from time to time. It has all the original serial numbers and decals intact as you can see. I am located in Norfolk but I may be able to drop it off somewhere in my travels! I am looking for £225 or make me an offer, don't be shy I have pictured it on a Commando 7 which it seemed to fit well, I couldn't test it because I don't have the mule drive but it hooks up to the rear of the chassis, well that's how it seemed to go on I thought I'd try and picture it on a tractor to help you see what it will look like. 4 Wheel trailer

Been after one of these for a while and was lucky enough to find this on my latest haul. Its made by W D Stubbs of Nottingham who are still in business making carts and trailers, it measures 5 foot x 2' 6" and has lift out sides, ive spent a bit of time on it today and got the wheels to go round and the turn table to work, it needs 4 tyres and tubes, it has 1" axles so a bit restricted on swapping wheels. The wheels are 8" and the tyres are marked 14x3 , ive got a few 400x8 but all different tread patterns. Anyway heres some photos

That is a beautiful machine Neil, your better half will appreciate it when she sees it, I'm sure. BTW, take care in driving from now one, it appears you are in the wrong lane from the photo

    screw tractor

This video from 1929 concept was posted a few times on other forums. The thing I find most interesting, is how they used a steering wheel to control it vs. using levers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBjlSJf4274
