Thanks Andrew, it seems a mess to me, hopefully one day I will get it where I want it. I ended up putting three coats on the 1556, evening light makes it look more beige than it really is.

Well the price seems high, BUT it depends on what it includes, many 85-100 dollar kits don't include the red strip, or the decal for starting on the dash tower, or the lift gauge decal. I'm not sure if Sam makes his decals or gets them from Click it-and-Stick it. I got my last set from Maple Hunter and was very pleased, but they do not have the small FMC logo on the bottom left side of the dash decal like the original decal and I think and Sams and Click it do. The logo is less than 2 centimeters across, so not a real big deal. If you buy a 85 dollar kit from another outfit then add the decals they don't include or you have to buy elsewhere, you go past 200 pretty quick.

    Been out foraging again

Had another day foraging about in barns today, and all the towing was done by Johns favourite Wheelhorse which i took back up with me as a surprise for him to use for old time sake. Needless to say i was talked into another van load of goodies. Alan took a couple of photos which i hope he will add to the post and I'll add mind when i get on the laptop

Your doing very nice work there. That's going to be one sharp looking Bolens! Matt

This is something I've been wanting to do for awhile, and I finally did it yesterday. I pulled out all my old Briggs Model N's, as well as a Model U, Model I, and a 6s, and ran ran them all at the same time (22 engines). It was fun, although it was a bit more work than I thought it was going to be. When this many engines are running, its difficult to hear the exhaust note of each engine so that I could get the fuel mixture set correctly on the carburetor. In this video, the newest engine is a 1952, and the oldest is a 1940. There was one engine (my lever start) that I flooded, so it wasn't running in the first video, but I did eventually get it fired, and showed it running in the very short second video. Anyway, here are a couple videos and pics. Thanks Matt

Yes Norm, it looks like it was made by the same manufacturers as the other one only difference is its longer and has drop sides and tailgate, it needs new wood and the usual tyres and tubes but im very pleased with today's haul Its been a very hot and sweaty day and spent in good company, many thanks to Alan and John for their hospitality and allowing me to spend the day with them

The color in my last picture is a true representation, but the other pictures in the late afternoon light made the color very beige, almost ivory. That is why you cannot use pictures for color samples as there are to many variances in the camera, light, and age of the picture. I'm happy with the picture with the wheels on as that really looks like the Bolens off white of the day, more than that I know its the right color because I had it matched from inside the frame rail cover.

Blimey! You could pick up a GT for that price. Having said that the quality is very authentic.

Found this about 7 posts down on an Austin A30 A35 owners forum, so it must be of that origin. I have no idea why it has that double pitman arm thing going on though?? http://forum.austina30a35ownersclub.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1825&start=2715#p79652

    Drift Trike

My Dad started making this tank before he ran out of gas, but it is mounted and looks mostly complete Managed to fit a Kawasaki KLE500 rear brake caliper to the front end of Baotian 50cc scooter. Waiting on a left-hand hydraulic lever to arrive. I didn't want the stop and the go controls to be operated by one hand. Air filter arrived from the land of cheap. Looks better than stock at least
