Thanks guys for all your kind words, we're both very grateful -
2 pointsYesterday I attended Harthill Carnival, on the Derbyshire/South Yorkshire border, as a stationary engine exhibitor and walking around noticed a few implement's on show plus some tractors that may be of interest. A nice sunny day and well attended as usual, the second year that I have exhibited there and both times the weather has been warm and dry, must be my influence! Pete. Anyway, a few pics!

Just Finished Another Old Engine (Pincor)
the showman and one other reacted to bowtiebutler956 for a post in a topic
Yes, I do like them Ian. I've always loved engines Ian, and thy're always my favorite part of any restoration project, whether its my Wheel Horse's, Case, or even my work truck. So, it just made sense to me to start doing just engines. That way, I'm always working on my favorite part of the restoration! That, and these old engine don't empty my wallet as quickly as some projects. Matt -

The cranks on these kick start engines don't have a keyway Koen. They just have a hole drilled in them for the pulley set screw. Here is a picture of mine. Matt -

Thanks Matt, found out that putting briggs part numbers through eBay gives you all ya need one thing i'm almost certain of is that i'll be searching for a new crank. I dont think the keyway should be gone, or rather filled up with werd by the looks of it -

That is awesome Koen, and I'm jealous! Parts for the Model N are still fairly easy to find if you need them. There is one thing you will need to take care of before running it for extended periods of time. Its missing the shield that wraps around the cylinder to circulate air all the way around for cooling. I like the early models like that one, as they use an oil pump instead of a dipper on the rod. I have a very similar engine to that one, except yours is a couple years older. Here is a pic of mine. Look forward to updates! Matt The last couple pics are of an original one, and it belongs to a friend of mine (Den). -

Sad day in the Showman's household

Sometimes doing your best for a loved one hurts the most, whether it be children, parents, or pets. You did the right thing Chris, and know each and every friend here is there with you and Pam to help you endure your loss. Ginger Tom had a great life and made great times for a human family, a pet can do no better, he has moved on and in time your pain will turn to so many fond memories he gave. Alain -
