Hello. Yes i am here!! i have been away for a while and some of you may know my ranger progress was stumped by that tecky engine i had so i tried and tried for ages with different options and in the end i decided for a different engine, so i got myself a copy Honda GX200 to squeeze into the ranger and i have to say its amazing, i have completed mock up and i am very happy with my setup i am just now going to take it apart and re paint it and then put it together again but this time its happening, took it on a few drives and it actually rides quite nicely and that engine has plenty of power and overall its nice to drive. i have also recently doing lots of adjustment on the tractor to get it driving just right so i don't have any more troubles when it goes back together. i am going to make the original fuel tank fit onto the engine with some mounts, but for now the Honda one is staying. there are a few littler bits i still need to do aswell. but this is the new restoration topic area as i cant find my old one. glad to see you all again. And its good to be back working on the tractor james -
2 pointsThe fan proved a nightmare to remove, ended up using a lot of heat and slidehammers etc.

As you see i had to get back into the dark depths of the caravan as last time I spotted something buried behind all the furniture and I wanted another look. Suitable dressed I ventured in and started pulling out the furniture and stuff and found the machine the only problem was the roof had come down and i had to jack it up to move the said item. Finally I managed to get it out into the daylight so here's some photos -
1 pointi just saw this on my news feed and i thought you guys might find it interesting

1 pointI managed to catch a short break in the rain yesterday so I repainted the chasis again. This morning I went to the unit early and started building it up. The hydraulic pump has also been cleaned up and refitted. Hopefully wont be to long until I have the old girl running again.

Nice looking tractors. Looks to me like you need a Haban Sickle-Mo in the worst way. One of them would have handled that fence line in short order. -

Its a chicken plucking machine dating from 1933 we think, it's powered by a 1 HP Stuart Turner water cooled engine. The engine turns over and the machine all rotates so hopefully won't take long to fire it up -
1 pointThere is an inspection plate on that tiller, you might want to remove it and inspect not only the worm drive gear, but the geared bushing inside it that connects to the tiller shafts. The tiller shaft itself has a toothed part that works with the bronze bushing, it is this bronze bushing inside the bearing that often wears out. Good score and good luck, will look forward to you getting it sorted out.

1 pointThanks Max, it does This morning was like an archeological dig... Once I'd shoveled 6 inches of white filler dust away I found a bench!! To celebrate I put a couple of wheels on WN to have a look... They soon came off for a second coat of paint. The second coat of IH white lightened the wheels up, make them look less creamy.. Don't be fooled by the photo, the paint is nowhere near as smooth as it looks. Oh, and the bonnet now has a mat black grill/mesh thingy
